W3000 Your Westec System

Your Westec security system is designed to provide reliable electronic protection for your family and home. Employing state-of-the-art techniques in design and circuitry, combined with sensor devices, it provides 24 hour electronic surveillance to detect and report:

1. Burglary or Intrusion (with zone identification) 2. Emergencies 3. Medical 4. Auxiliary (customized to your special needs) 5. Pire and smoke 6. Thst 7. Low Battery 8. 'Irouble in the Circuitry

The equipment detects the problem, notifies you of the situation by sounding an alarm and immediately transmits that information to the Central Station. The Westec system is a CUSTOM installation designed to best accommodate a particular home, lifestyle, number and age of occupants, neighborhood, etc .... It is important to be familiar with the operation of your system to realize its maximum benefits, and, just as important, to PRBVENT ACCIDENTAL ALARMS.

'._--------

4

There are two buttons visible In the Computerized Command Center.

TOP BUTTON

The top button is the Thst button and, by depressing this button while the system is disarmed, it checks itseH. It will briefly emanate the various distinct sounds for each type of alarm and automatically contact the Central Station. By doing so, it advises the atation operator that your system is functioning normally.

LOWER BUTTON

The lower button is the 'Irouble button. If the system detects a failure in any of its component parts, it will emanate a distinct low level audio signal. 1b elimigate this audio signal, the homeowner depresses the "TROUBLE" button which will silence the audio trouble warning. You can then call the Westec service department number for an appointment.

There is a green light visibfe in the Computerized Command Center. When the green light is displayed, it indicates that there is power to the system. Whenever the homeowner' depresses the "TROUBLE" button to silence the trouble warning the green light will blink. '

Major Components of Your Westec Security System

Your Weatec security system may include all or some of the following components:

• Computerized Command Center • Computer .Access Thrminal • Remote Access Thrmina1s • Outside Access Thrminals

The Westec security system provides an extremely high degree of security without the inconvenience or worry of carrying keys. Unlike many other systems, the Weatec security system cannot be forcibly compromised by "picking" or tampering with the access terminals. It can easily be set or disarmed by entering the correct combination. It is also easy to determine if the system is set or disarmed.

1« ;

'. ./

When the red light is displayed the burglary system is set, when the red light is not displayed the burglary system is off.

-----.:......-. ----Ie (

When the access door is opened you will note a switch beside the face plate with the buttons. This switch is the power on/off switch for' turning "OFF" the entire system. At.certain times it could be necessary to turn the system to power "OFF" (such as remodeling with workmen continually co~g and going.)
