What is Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi? Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi is a scholarship scheme for exchange and cooperation between Europe and the Maghreb. It is an Erasmus Mundus Action 2 project which organizes and manages scholarships financed by the European Commission for members of the Al Idrisi partner universities and nationals from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. Selected grantees may follow a credit transfer, short stay or full degree programme at one of the partner universi-ties.
What does the scholarship cover?
The scholarship covers a monthly allowance, tuition fees, travel expenses (one economy class round trip) health, travel and accident insurance coverage.

What are the aims of Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi?
Î To allow undergraduate and master students, doctoral candi-dates, post-doctoral fellows as well as academic and admi-nistrative staff to gain valuable experience, knowledge and contacts abroad.
Î To provide improved education and training opportunities for vulnerable groups and socio-economically disadvantaged students, and promote equal access to higher education for students from least developed regions.
Î To exchange knowledge, know-how and experience between Europe and the Maghreb reinforcing the teaching and research capacities of the partner universities.
Î To promote common areas of higher education.
What disciplines are offered?
All partner universities offer a wide range of disciplines. As Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi focuses strongly on regional needs, the following specific thematic areas will be given priority in the selection process:
Î Business Studies and Management Sciences Î Engineering, Technology Î Geography, Geology Î Languages Î Mathematics, Informatics Î Medical Sciences Î Natural Sciences Î Social Sciences Î Communication and Information Sciences
Administrative staff mobility is also considered a priority for the Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi partnership.

How to apply?
If you want to apply for an Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi scholarship, you must fill in the online application available on the Al Idrisi website:
http://www.al-idrisi.euAll undergraduate, master, doctoral and post-doctoral mobility flows must have started by 31 December 2012. The deadline for the start of academic and administrative staff mobility is 30 September 2013.
