Rom 5:1 Then being justified by faith, we have peacewith God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

y Rom 5:2 through whom also we have had access byfaith into this grace in which we stand, and we glory onthe hope of the glory of God.

y Rom 5:3 And not only so, but we glory also inafflictions, knowing that affliction works out patience,

y Rom 5:4 and patience works out proven character; andproven character, hope.

y Rom 5:5 And the hope does not put us to shame,because the love of God has been poured out in ourhearts through the Holy Spirit given to us;

When MAN fell from Gods Grace & Favor -SIN infected and dominated the entireHUMAN RACE !

MAN inhis LOST FELLOWSHIP & STANDINGwith GOD Inhis SINFUL STATECANNOTPROVIDE theWAY BACK to GOD

Therefore, GOD MADE HIS OWNWAY BACKTO RESTORE THE LOST FELLOWSHIP andRELATIONSHIP!

GOD ,even before theTENCOMMANDMENTS institution, already madeand established a COVENANT OF TRUST &FELLOWHIP with MAN through ABRAHAM

Through this COVENANT, GOD was able to

BLESS, PROSPER & PROTECT Abraham

WhenABRAHAMs descendants, theISRAELITES, becauseof their PROSPERITY &WEALTH that resulted out of the COVENANT..Turned away from GOD and began to rely onthemselves and forsook the COVENANT OFGODS GRACE and FELLOWSHIP

Thus, the ISRAELITES fell from Gods Grace &Favor and begun to face severeTRIALSthrough Slavery

When they began to TURN to GOD andREMEMBERED the COVENANT OF GOD and

ABRAHAM GOD SAVED THEM and gavethem theTEN COMMANDMENTS (Exo. 2: 23-24)

The Ten Commandment was meant to exposetheir sinful state and their need to return to

their RELATIONSHIP & FELLOWSHIP withGOD through the COVENANT

TheTEN COMMANDMENTS was and is nevertheWAY back to GOD!

All thewhile, GOD is preparing to MAKE THEWAY of RESTORING MANS LOSTFELLOWSHIP OF GRACE & FAVOR throughthe LAMB OF GOD!

(v.1) Being Justified - DIKAIOO to be

regarded or rendered INNOCENT or JUSTTo be totall y acquitted and restored to rightstanding or relationship

How were we justified?

(v.1) .. Through our Lord Jesus Christ.. Becauseof what Christ did on the cross..

(v.6) Christ Died FOR ("huper" - on the part of,

for sake of, in stead) the UNGODLY ("asebes")..when we were irreverent (no regard or worshipfor God)... while we were still weak andimpotent in our sinful state JESUS DIED FOR

US AND PAID OUR PUNISHMENT throughSubstitution!

The Requirement for Justification?

(v.1).."By Faith" ("ek pistis") - "out of or throughor from.." a "persuasionor convtiction of God'srevealed truth" specially relianceupon Christ'sfinished work on the Cross..

WE have to BELIEVE JESUS and TRUST whatJESUS DID FOR US ON THE CROSS!

JESUS IS THE ONLYWAY BACK TO GOD!

The Benefits of Justification?

(v.1) ..Wehave Peace ("eirene") - reconciled orjoined with God again.. to enjoy peace andprosperity with God.. As Abraham wasregarded by God as a friend (Jas. 2:23), we too

shall be regarded as Jesus' friends (Jn 15:13-15)..

(v.2)..WehaveAccess ("prosagoge"- entrance orintroduction) by faith into GODS GRACE

("charis" - favor or benefit).....We stand ("histemi" - to abideor continueorestablish) firmly and safely on GODS FAVOR

(v.2)..We Rejoice - ("kauchaomai" - boast orexult) in our Hope ("elpis" - anticipatewith

pleasure,expectation,or confidence) in God'sGlory ("Doxa" - good reputationor opinion)..

(v.3)...We Glory (boast or exult) in Tribulations

(pressures, troubles, or persecutions) knowingthat they CANNOT HARM US.. but instead,they will work for your good (Rom. 8:28):

... in developing our Patience ("hupomone"

-cheerfulendurance) or CHARACTER....inenriching or widening our Experience

of God's Favor and experienceor ourselves asproving our sincerity

... in STRENGHTENING and REINFORCINGour Hope (full confidence) in Christ ...

... A Hope thatWILL NOT disappoint ordisgraceus..Why?1. Because it is anchored on a "knowing" that

God will always command His Favor uponYou by Provisions and Blessings!...

2. Becauseof the Love of God that is "gushedor poured out" or "running greedily out"

into our hearts by the Holy Spirit!
