Required Business Function

Simplified Management of EAM Functions 7 (LOG_EAM_SIMPLICITY_7)

Additional Details

When you create or change a maintenance order, you can assign maintenance notifications, technical objects, assemblies, materials, and serial numbers. Up to now, on the SAP Web UI, the object list only displayed the header notification and all the objects that have been assigned to that maintenance order on the Objects tab page in the relevant SAP Gui transactions. With this product feature, you can now add and remove objects directly on the Object List tab page. This means that technical objects, assemblies, materials, and serial numbers are assigned to the maintenance order on header level.

The header notification still has to be created or assigned on the General Data tab page. The system displays the header notification on the Object List tab page and selects the Header Notification checkbox. However, you can assign additional maintenance notifications directly on the Object List tab page.

Depending on the relevant Customizing settings for the order type, the task list operations of an assigned notification are copied to the Operation Data tab page. For notifications that have no task lists assigned, the system creates one order operation for each maintenance notification assigned. All order operations that have been created automatically with the assignment of a notification are removed as soon as the corresponding notification is removed from the object list.

In addition to being able to add new entries to the object list, you can also remove assigned objects.

Effects on Existing Data

Up to now, you could use the Object List tab page only in display mode and the table rows were greyed out. This product feature enables you to create new table row entries and offers a Delete button to remove entries from the list. Furthermore, the new checkbox Header Notification allows you to identify the header notification.

Effects on Customizing

The Customizing settings for order types in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service under Maintenance and Service Processing Maintenance and Service Orders Functions and Settings for Order Types Define Notification and Order Integration are taken into account when assigned maintenance notifications are dealt with in the maintenance order.

1.1.2.2 Maintenance Plan Call Information in Order List, and Order and Operation List (for Web UI)

With this feature, you can list the maintenance plan call number, call status, completion date, call date, and planned date of maintenance plan scheduled calls in the Order List, and Order and Notification List worklists in the Order and Notification Information Center application.

You can open this application in the SAP NetWeaver Business Client, with the Work Overview menu item.

This feature enables maintenance planners to easily compare the dates of the order and the dates of the relevant maintenance call, to prove that all obligatory maintenance activities have been started before or on the date specified in the maintenance plan. If an accident happens, this can prove that the company has done every precaution, and therefore legally is not at fault.

2.1.1.1 Scale-Out in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable

To improve the performance of certain processes, you can now assign a colocation group to the entries of certain tables as part of a scale-out project in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA). Table partitioning enables related data with an identical colocation group (for example, all line items of a business partner) to be stored in the same database node (colocation).

Additional Details

As the quantity of data in S/4HANA increases, the SAP HANA database needs to be able to handle the growing data volume. Various options are available for increasing the size of the SAP HANA database. One option is to use more powerful hardware (scale-up), while another is to use scale-out functions to increase the size of the database. The scale-out approach involves distributing the database across multiple independent nodes. These nodes can be created within a server or can also be distributed between different servers. Each node has its own index server, whereby one index server acts as the master index server while the others act as slave index servers. When entire tables are distributed across the available nodes, this is generally referred to as database partitioning. On the other hand, if individual large tables are divided into multiple partitions, this is referred to as table partitioning.

It is now possible to assign a colocation group to the entries of certain tables in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA). The colocation group is a numeric value derived from the business partner number and the number of colocation groups to be considered and does not have any semantic meaning (which is why this field is not offered as a selection field). When table partitioning is used, related data with an identical colocation group (for example, all line items of a business partner) can be stored in the same database node (colocation). This can be used as part of a scale-out project to improve the performance of certain processes in FI-CA. The number of groups can no longer be changed during live operation, since this would also change the determination of the colocation group. This in turn would mean that it would no longer be possible to ensure that all table entries for a business partner have the same colocation group.

The following mass activities have been adapted for use in a scale-out environment:

● Payment run/debit memo run● Write-off (parallelized)● Mass run: Release for collection● Automatic clearing● Create credit list● Interest run● Cash security deposit interest run● Distribute revenues● Set business block (only for lock category '02', line item)● Dunning proposal● Adjust receivables according to age● Transfer adjusted receivables

The two new parallelization objects GPART_GRP and VKONT_GRP are available for using these mass activities in a scale-out environment.

Effects on Customizing

In Customizing under Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable Technical Settings Settings for Scale-Out , you can make the following settings:

Colocation Group Data - Here, you define the number of colocation groups to be used. Because this number is used to determine the group number, this value can no longer be changed.

16 P U B L I CWhat's New in SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS02

Commerce

Activate Components for Colocation Groups - Here, you can activate colocation group usage for each component. A component largely corresponds to a group of thematically related database tables. If a component is active, a colocation group is determined and saved for new entries. Data selection in mass activities that access this table then takes the colocation group into account.

Define Index Server - Here, you specify the index servers in your system that are involved in the scale-out.

Assign Colocation Groups to Index Servers - In this step, you assign the colocation groups to an index server. It is important to ensure that all groups are assigned and that assignments do not overlap. The assignment details entered here must also match the actual assignment in the database.

Load Distribution of Index Server for Each Mass Activity - Here, you can explicitly distribute the load between the available index servers. The details entered here are taken into account when a mass activity job is started. If you do not define any details here, the index servers defined in the system are considered equally.

More Information

For more information about scale-out, see Utilities Scale-Out Enablement for Billing and Invoicing [page 64].

2.1.1.2 Dunning Exceptions

You can now define your own exception reasons (item indicators) for dunning exceptions if you use customer-specific function modules in the dunning proposal run. You can also reduce the scope of the dunning exceptions. Dunning exceptions that you enter in a list are not logged by the dunning proposal run and do not appear in the dunning exception list.

2.1.1.3 Manage Cash Desk as Cash Register

In some countries, there is a legal obligation to manage the cash desk as a cash register. You are now able to connect the cash desk to a cash register solution in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA). Note, however, that you need to install the CASHREG add-on first.

Technical Details

Table 16:

Country Dependency Valid for all countries

Application Component FI-CA-BT-PY-PP (Processing Incoming and Outgoing Payments)

Available As Of SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS02

Additional Details

To manage cash desks (post manual incoming payments) as cash registers in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable, first activate the cash journal in the IMG activity Maintain Specifications for Cash Desk/Cash Journal in Customizing for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable under Business Transactions PaymentsProcessing Incoming and Outgoing Payments Cash Desk/Cash Journal . In the cash journal settings, under Maintain Specifications for Cash Desk/Cash Journal, set the Cash Register Active indicator. The restriction applies that you must assign a unique company code to a cash register (see below). The system does not allow you to post incoming payments for different company codes at the same cash register. You need to set up a separate cash register for each company code.

To ensure unique and consecutive numbering of the cash document, two alternatives are available.

● Document Number of Payment DocumentYou have to maintain a separate document type for each company code, payment category, branch, and cash desk. You do this by maintaining the IMG activity Define Document Type for Payment Category in Customizing for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable under Business Transactions Payments Processing Incoming and Outgoing Payments Cash Desk/Cash Journal . In this activity, you may need to show the

18 P U B L I CWhat's New in SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS02

Commerce

Branch and Cash Desks key fields by choosing Goto Key Selection from the menu. You have to assign a unique number range to each document type (see view cluster VC_TFK003). You do not need to maintain a separate document type (CJ document type) for special posting documents of the cash journal. The document type can then be used for multiple cash desks in the cash journal. Special posting documents such as deposits, withdrawals, and differences are not updated in the cash register module and, therefore, do not have to be numbered sequentially for each cash register. This option is useful if you are setting up a very small number of cash registers. The cash document number corresponds to the document number of the payment document.

● Use Cash Document Number as Standalone EntityThe second option is to assign a cash document number for each cash register. The cash document number is unique for each cash register (cash desk ID) and starts with the number 1 with each new calendar year. The calendar year is added as a prefix to the sequential number. You do this by maintaining the IMG activity Basic Settings for Cash Registers (see settings for the RKSV module or use transactionSM30 and enter the view name V_TFKCSHRG). On the detail screen, you can use the import function to adopt the cash journal cash desks that have already been set up. However, first enter the company code and specify whether you want to use the cash document number function. This option is useful if you are setting up a very large number of cash registers. You do not need to manage a separate number range for each cash desk and assign it to a cash register by means of the document type (see IMG activity Define Document Type for Payment Category). The cash document number does not correspond to the document number of the payment document in this case.

You can post special documents such as zero documents and also the collective document if required from the menu of the cash journal transaction (FPCJ). These additional functions are available in the menu Cash DeskCash Register . There you can also test the function extended log in case of an error or if you want to test the cash register function in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable. If the extended log is switched on, a detailed log is displayed even in case of error. Additionally, you can generate the cash journal log from the cash journal for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable for each cash desk.

In the cash register module, the cash desks are identified by a unique cash desk ID (cashbox ID). The cash desk ID of cash desks from Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable is made up of the store ID (for example, SAP) and the cash desk ID (for example, 01). In this case, the cash desk ID in the cash register module would be SAP/01.

The historical data of the cash journal (transaction FPCJR) has been enhanced. Special documents (zero documents and collective documents) are displayed.

Tax postings due to discount postings, payment differences, and so on are not updated in the cash register module.

The existing correspondence type 0043 for cash desk payments has been enhanced. If you manage cash desks as cash registers in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable, the cash document number is also printed in addition to the payment document number (see application form as Smart Form FI_CA_PAYMENT_RECEIPT_SAMPL_SF). The RKSV signature is also printed on the form as a string and as a QR code.

You can print zero documents or collective documents with the new correspondence type 0049. The application form is available as Smart Form FI_CA_CASHREG_VOID_SAMPLE_SF

Settings in the Cash Register Module

You make the basic settings for cash desks from Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable in Customizing for Financial Accounting (New) under Cash Register. You create the cash desks from Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable in the IMG activity Create Cash Register as described above. For store SAP and cash desk 01, you would enter the cash desk ID SAP/01. If the store ID has only two characters, you would, for example, enter SP/01

What's New in SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS02Commerce P U B L I C 19

(spaces are ignored). Assign a company code to this cash desk ID by double-clicking the line inserted. Note that a cash desk ID can be assigned to only one company code. If you want to enter incoming payments for different company codes at a cash desk in Contract Accounts Payable and Receivable, you have to create additional cash desk IDs in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable for each company code. Further settings are not necessary but can also be configured. Especially in the case of required entry fields, you must complete the entries in the IMG activity Create Cash Register.

Under Cash Register RKSV Module you have to maintain the IMG activity Assign Tax Category. In the IMG activity Cash Register - Encrypt Cash Register Information, also maintain the encryption for the relevant cash desk ID and the reference transaction to be used for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FKKSU). Maintain the IMG activity Cash Register - Assign Certification Service Provider to Company Codes and, where applicable, create customer-specific BAdI implementations for the RKSV module.

2.1.2 Convergent Invoicing

2.1.2.1 CI Debit/Credit Request

This feature provides flexible input options when you trigger creation of a credit memo or debit memo by creating a billing request for an invoicing document. You can enter a percentage by which the original amount of the selected item(s) is corrected, or enter a lump sum that is distributed proportionally across the original amounts of the selected items. You can also perform the following activities:

● Reverse a released billing request and its billable items, provided that the billable items are not yet invoiced● Delete released or reversed billing requests, provided that the residence time has passed● Choose how the main attributes of the billable items to be created are determined, by configuring the billing

request type accordingly.

For each invoicing document item or billable item to be corrected, you see the total amount of all released or non-released billing requests for that item. You also see the total amount for all released and non-released billing requests in the header data.

One of the following business functions must be activated:

● FICAX_INV_2K● ISU_INV_2K● TEL_INV_2K

Effects on Customizing

To use these new features, you need to take account of the following Customizing settings:

● If you want to allow reversal of billable items for a billing request type, you must deselect the Immediate Billing flag for the billing request type. To do this, in Customizing for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable, choose Convergent Invoicing Additional Functions Billing Requests for Corrections Define Types of Billing Requests .

● The residence time that applies when deleting billing requests is defined in the Residence Time in Days field in Customizing for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable, under Convergent Invoicing Additional Functions Billing Requests for Corrections Define Types of Billing Requests .

● When you release a billing request, thereby generating one or more billable items, the derivation rule for the billing request type determines which attributes are copied to the billable item(s). In Customizing for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable, under Convergent Invoicing Additional Functions Billing Requests for Corrections Define Types of Billing Requests , you can choose whether attributes are copied from the invoicing document item or billable item to be corrected, or from the default values of the billing request type.

2.1.2.2 CI Local Currency Conversion

This feature enables you to transfer billable items containing amounts in a foreign currency that have an external exchange rate that is different to the exchange rate stored in the system. This external exchange rate is used in all subsequent processes. When you invoice these billable items, the amounts posted in local currency are calculated from the foreign currency using this external exchange rate.

Additional Details

● Prorated AmountIf a hedging instrument is partially designated in a hedging relationship, the system handles amounts as follows:○ Prorated amounts correspond to the designated portion.○ Total amounts correspond to the full nominal.

The prorated amount is calculated for each market value component and element separately by multiplying the total amount with the percentage representing the designation percentage. Further adaptations to account for rounding effects are not applied. Consequently, the sum of the prorated market value components might not always be exactly equal to the prorated full market value.

● Calculation Type: Define From-CurrencyYou define the hedge accounting calculation types in the Customizing actvity Define Hedge Accounting Calculation Types.

What's New in SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS02Finance P U B L I C 39

FX hedge accounting calculations require the two currencies of a hedging instrument to be defined as the from-currency and the to-currency accordingly. In the calculation type, you define the from-currency.The setting has two effects:○ The hedging instrument nominal in the from-currency is taken over into the hypothetical derivative. The

hypothetical derivative nominal in the to-currency is then calculated based on the forward rate of the hypothetical derivative.

○ For FX forwards as hedging instruments, the calculation of elements and market value components requires the decomposition of the contract rate F. The result depends on whether the contract rate is used in direct or indirect quotation. This setting has the effect that the rate used satisfies the equation N_t = N_f * F, where N_t and N_f are the hedging instrument nominals in the to-currency and from-currency respectively.

This setting controls the creation of hypothetical derivatives as well as contract rate decomposition to ensure hedging effectiveness. Allowing different settings for the two use cases would not ensure the same effectiveness. In the Customizing activity Define Hedging Profiles, you can assign the hedge accounting calculation types to hedging profiles using the scenarios of the Hedge Management and Accounting of Net Open Exposures (such as scenarios 910 and 920).

Effects on Customizing

The new Customizing activity Define Hedge Accounting Calculation Types is available in the Customizing for Treasury and Risk Management under Transaction Manager General Settings Hedge Accounting for Positions Settings for Automated Designation of Exposure Items (FX Risk) .

3.2.1.2 TRM, TM, Redesigned Structure Tab for FX Transactions

The structure tab of FX transactions has been redesigned to be clearer and closer to market conventions.

From the entered rate for a currency pair, the Buy/Sell indicator, and the traded amount (in the traded currency) the opposite amount in the opposite currency is determined. This calculation applies the relevant rounding rule for the currency pair. You can change the calculated result manually within the tolerance range specified in Customizing.

Technical Name of Product Feature FEAT_158806

Product Feature is Changed

Application Component FIN-FSCM-TRM

Availability SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS02

Additional Details

On the new structure tab for FX transactions, the following fields are available for input:

● Currency Pair/Rate● Buy/Sell Indicator● Traded Currency● Traded Amount● Value Date

The opposite amount is calculated by the system. You can change the amount calculated if you have allowed this in Customizing by entering a tolerance in percent.

The new structure tab is available for FX spot/forward transactions and FX swaps.

Effects on Existing Data

For existing transactions, how transactions are displayed depends on the way the transactions have been entered.

What's New in SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS02Finance P U B L I C 41

● If the rate, one of the amounts and currencies have been entered and the other amount has been calculated, the entered amount is identified as the traded amount, and you can see the transaction in the new design with traded and opposite amounts.

● If both amounts have been entered, the system cannot identify the traded amount. The FX forward is displayed with the Buy Amount and the Sell Amount.

If you want to change/process an existing transaction, you first have to confirm the traded amount and currency before you can continue working on the financial transaction in the new UI.

Effects on Customizing

The new Customizing activity Assign Rounding Rules and Tolerance to Currencies is available in Customizing for Transaction Manager under General Settings Transaction Management Currencies . In this Customizing activity, you assign special rounding rules and tolerances to currencies relevant for the calculation of the opposite amount in FX transactions. The rounding rules are also defined in Customizing for Transaction Manager under

General Settings Transaction Management Currencies Define Rounding Rules . You assign rounding rules on company code/currency level, and this influences the calculation of the opposite amount within an FX transaction.

Enter the tolerance in percent for manual changes to the calculated opposite amounts of an FX transaction.

If you do not enter a tolerance, you cannot change the calculated opposite amounts.

Note● You can enter a tolerance for a currency without assigning a rounding rule.● If you do not enter a tolerance, you cannot change the calculated opposite amounts.

3.2.1.3 TRM, MRA, NPV Calculation Using Swap Rates

With this feature, you can calculate the net present value of FX financial instruments like FX forwards or Cross-Currency Interest Rate Swaps (CCIRS) using swap rates (= par method). This method first executes a currency conversion of the cash flows using forward rates and then discounts the flows in the evaluation currency.

● The par method is available for the NPV calculation of all financial transactions in cash flow style with product category 600 Foreign exchange, 620 SWAP, or 540 Cash flow transaction which carry two currencies inside them, but no options and no single-currency transactions which are only valued in another evaluation currency.

● In the par method, all future cash flows will be converted with forward rates before discounting. The target currency of this conversion is the evaluation currency.

● The forward rate needed for the calculation is the spot rate + swap rate. The swap rate arises from the interest rate difference between two currencies during the period from the evaluation date to the due date. The swap rate is derived from the current swap rate curve of the currency pair. The swap rate curve is based on the new entity swap rate curve structure. You define this swap rate curve structure, which is the term structure of a swap rate curve, in Customizing. A swap rate curve structure can be assigned to one or more currency pairs. At the time of valuation, the current swap rate curve is calculated. For the grid points defined, the swap rates are read from the swap rate table (AT15). All other swap rates are interpolated/extrapolated according to your settings in the swap rate curve structure.

Effects on Existing Data

In the evaluation type definition (transaction JBREVAL) the new Evaluation Control 2 tab is available, where you can set the new FX valuation method to Currency Conversion Before Discounting (= par method) or Discounting Before Currency Conversion (= zero coupon method).

Effects on Customizing

In the Customizing of the Treasury and Risk Management under Basic Functions Market Data ManagementMaster Data Currencies Swap Rates the new Customizing activities Define Swap Rate Curve Structure and Assign Swap Rate Curve Structure to Currency Pairs are available. The activity Assign Swap Rate Curve Structure to Currency Pairs is also available under Basic Analyzer Settings Valuation .

Additional Details

SAP S/4HANA runs on the in-memory database SAP HANA. SAP S/4HANA operations require the underlying hardware architecture to provide sufficient memory to store all data in-memory. This can be achieved by either one physical machine (“scale-up”) or by the combination of several physical machines in one system (“scale-out”). Scale-out offers significant advantages regarding total cost of ownership and scalability. The application of a scale-out scenario to large database sizes is challenging and requires a functional enablement within SAP S/4HANA Utilities. As of SAP S/4HANA Utilities 1610 FPS2, new specific capabilities are provided to handle very large database tables in SAP S/4HANA Utilities in a scale-out scenario. The solution supports optimized access to the most critical data in IS-U Billing and IS-U Invoicing. The technical basis for this scale-out solution is the FI-CA mass activity framework.

The advantages of this solution are the following:

● The partitions of database tables can be efficiently distributed to different index servers● Data distribution is controlled by SAP S/4HANA (can be optimized accordingly)● New parallelization objects have been added to the mass activities during parallel processing of the batch

processes of billing and invoicing● Improved load balancing of batch jobs across all combined hosts can be achieved● Flexibility and scalability to scale out further if more resources are required due to database growth

Effects on Existing Data

The usage of scale-out requires a database migration or at least a repartitioning of your database, depending on your initial situation.

The new colocation group attribute is used to place related data within a specific location (partition) collectively. This attribute has been added to the database tables involved. The attribute must be initialized for the existing data.

What's New in SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS02Industries P U B L I C 65

Note1. Scale-out with SAP S/4HANA Utilities is not recommended for smaller database sizes that still allow a

single node system to be used.2. Scale-Out with SAP S/4HANA Utilities is not released for multi-client systems.3. Parallelization of bill creation using the parallelization object "Business Partner and Collective Account" is

not supported.4. The usage of Convergent Invoicing integrated with IS-U has not been optimized for scale-out.5. The usage of SAP Energy Data Management has not been optimized for scale-out.6. The usage of SAP Intercompany Data Exchange has not been optimized for scale-out.

Effects on Customizing

The new colocation group attribute is used to place related data within a specific location (partition) collectively. This new attribute is used as a partitioning column for range partitioning. The partitions created are then distributed between the different hosts, so that all of the related data is found on a single host for each colocation group.

You must define the number of colocation groups, number ranges for each business object, assignments between colocation groups and servers and number range intervals. You do this in Customizing ( (SAP Customizing Implementation Guide Financial Accounting Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable Technical SettingsSettings for Scale-Out ).

NoteThe Customizing settings must be consistent with the database and partition settings. A dedicated program (ISU_COLOGRP_CHECK) is available, which can detect inconsistencies after the Customizing settings have been made. The value in Customizing defining the number of colocation groups can only be set once and cannot be changed after it has been used in the operational system. If the number of colocation groups is changed again, the colocation group values in all database table entries would be inconsistent, and the entire partition logic would be affected. Components such as Billing and Invoicing can be activated in Customizing. Once they have been activated, a deactivation in the productive system is forbidden due to data inconsistencies.

7.3.2 Utilities Optimization in Meter Reading

This product feature provides specific capabilities to support range partition schemes for the meter reading database tables that have been optimized for very large systems. If required, the database tables involved can be distributed across different index servers within a scale-out architecture. Transactions EL06, EL09, and ELMU are affected by this feature.

Technical Details

Table 53:

Additional Details

The introduction of smart meters has produced new business requirements, which trigger a large number of meter reading documents. Changing from annual to monthly billing cycles is becoming increasingly common. Several registers for each device are used to model different time-of-use blocks at register level. The increase in meter reading data to be stored and processed requires additional meter reading optimization strategies. New capabilities for applying efficient range partitioning to the relevant database tables EABL and EABLG by their key field ABLBELNR are now supported. To enable the new meter reading documents to be distributed equally between the different index servers, nodes and partitions, multiple number ranges have to be supported for mass processing.

Determination of the number range interval for a new meter reading document for the mass activities (EL09, ELMU) is dependent on the current mass activity interval. The first, second, and third number range interval is used for subsequent mass activity intervals in a round robin procedure. This enables data to be distributed equally between all number ranges. If the database tables are partitioned accordingly and distributed across index servers, this also balances the load for creating new meter reading documents.

During the existing batch creation of meter reading documents (EL06), where all documents are created sequentially, all number range intervals are used for number determination. This is done by switching to the next number range number when the buffer size maintained in Customizing is reached. New data is also distributed across all number ranges here.

What's New in SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS02Industries P U B L I C 67

Effects on Existing Data

The effect on the existing data is dependent on the initial situation and your goals. The use of multiple number range intervals does not require any mandatory repartitioning of existing data. Since repartitioning does not provide load balancing, but simply distributes the data volume between servers, it is optional. You do not require repartitioning to use multiple number ranges, but it is necessary to distribute data between different index servers: In this case, you need to repartition the respective database tables according to the defined number range intervals.

Effects on Customizing

Multiple (more than two) number range intervals must be maintained for the number range object. In a scale-out system, the meter reading tables can be partitioned by the corresponding ranges for the field ABLBELNR (Meter Reading Document Number); these partitions can be distributed between different index servers (database hosts).

7.4 Waste & Recycling
