PRESCHOOLIntroduce your child to different ways they can have fun while developing healthy habits through active play. Our sports programs are designed to be non-competitive with an emphasis on developing fl exibility, strength, sportsmanship, self-confi dence and overall well-being to build strong bodies, minds and friendships. At the Y we’re committed to helping kids be their best selves. Through the Y’s school age programs, youth cultivate the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, meaningful friendships, self confi dence and educational achievement all while having a lot of fun!

PRESCHOOL SPORTS (1 TO 5)

CLASS DAYS TIME Intro Ballet/Jazz Tues 5:30p.m.-6:25p.m. Intro To Ballet/Jazz This class will introduce students to the beautiful world of ballet and jazz. Students will learn the basic fundamentals and terminology of ballet and jazz. Check with instructor for recital information.

Sport Stars Tues 4:30p.m.-5:45p.m. This is a class for parents and their children to interact together. YMCA instructors will lead age appropriate activities that encourage movement and introduce your little sports star to a variety of sports. Parent participation is required.

Youth Soccer Program Thurs, Fri 5:00p.m.-6:45p.m. This program is designed to help kids learn the fundamentals of soccer for their appropriate age. Kids learn from instructors with high soccer knowledge and experience at various levels.

YOUTHThe Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. In a Y sports program your child will meet friends, learn new skills, improve their fi tness and most importantly have fun! Whether its gaining the confi dence that comes with learning a new sport, building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork or refi ning and improving skills, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole athlete-inside and out.

YOUTH SPORTS (6 TO 12)

CLASS DAYS TIME Tae Kwon Do Sat 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m.Our specialized instructor teaches self-defense techniques that improve self-confi dence. Discipline, coordination, mental concentration and physical abilities are enhanced dramatically. Improve your speed, power, focus, balance, control and relaxation techniques. For all skill levels.

Floor Hockey Tues, Thurs 5:00p.m.-6:00p.m.Youth Floor Hockey This is a fun and exciting class that keep children active and motivated. Participants will learn the basics of fl oor hockey and how to properly use the equipment. All equipment will be provided at the YMCA.

Ballet/Jazz I Wed 5:30p.m.-6:25p.m. Ballet/Jazz I Begin to progress your level of ballet and jazz skills while having fun, staying fi t and making friends! Class will include stretching at the bar, fl oor exercises, learning choreography and dance combinations.

Super Y Kids Sat 10:30a.m.-11:30a.m.This program is to provide youth the basic understanding of cardio/strength-training exercises and fl oor safety. After completion of Super Y Kids, the participant will be allowed on the wellness fl oor with a parent/guardian within arm’s reach. Attendance is mandatory for all weeks. Hip Hop Dance Class Thurs 5:30p.m.-6:25p.m. Youth Hip Hop Dance Class Bust a move! High energy boys and girls will have a blast in this YMCA-approved hip hop style and choreography class.

Youth Basketball Mon,Wed 5:00p.m.-6:00p.m. Youth Basketball is for children looking to learn or build on the fundamentals of basketball to apply these skills in recreational games.

Youth Soccer Thurs,Fri 5:50p.m.-6:45p.m. This program is designed to help kids learn the fundamentals of soccer for their appropriate age. Kids learn from instructors with high soccer knowledge and experience at various levels.

AFTER SCHOOL (5 TO 12)

CLASS DAYS TIME C.H.A.T Club Mon-Fri 3:40p.m.-6:00p.m.C.H.A.T. Club Rauner Family YMCA after school program offers educational, recreational and fun fi lled enrichment opportunities that engage children to build self confi dence and develop a healthy lifestyle. Our certifi ed staff provides homework support as well as other activities for children ages 5-12.

TEENSThe Y offers middle school youth and teens different programs to help youth focus on enhancing their athletic and sportsmanship skills; develop healthy habits; build self-confi dence and sense of belonging; create an awareness and sense of responsibility for their community; and improve academic performance. By providing young adults the opportunity to learn and grow, we are creating a healthier and stronger community.

TEEN SPORTS (13 TO 17)

CLASS DAYS TIME Co-Ed Prep Soccer Tues 4:30p.m.-6:00p.m.Provide Conditioning that will take your game to the next level. Our YMCA soccer coaches will tkae atheletes through skills and drills and organized scrimmages. Games played on Saturday.

Teen Boxing Thurs 4:00p.m.-5:00p.m.Boxing at the Rauner Family YMCA is designed to prepare youth to play positive roles in their community through self-discipline and character development. This goal is achieved through a program that focuses on growing strong bodies, disciplined minds and enhanced personal character.

IRON TEENS Tues 5:00p.m.-6:00p.m.This program is to provide teens the proper health & wellness knowledge for cardiovascular training and strength training. After completion of Iron Teens, the participant will have created their own personalized workout and be allowed on the wellness fl oor without a parent/guardian. ADULT SPORTS AND FITNESS

ADULT SPORTSCLASS DAYS TIME Men’s Basketball Thurs 7:00p.m.-10:00p.m.Triple threat, pump fake, shoot! 2 periods of 18 minutes, 3 timeouts with running clock, until the last 2 minutes. 8 players maximum each team, 1st and 2nd place receive trophies.

Co-Ed Volleyball Mon 7:00p.m.-10:00p.m.Set, Serve, Spike! Grab your friends and register your team for volleyball at the Y! This is a co-ed league for adults.

Men’s Soccer Wed 7:00p.m.-11:00p.m.6 weeks of regular games, plus 2 weeks of playoffs, 1 period of 25-35 minutes with running clock, 13 players maximum for each team, 8 teams maximum. 1st and 2nd place receive trophies.

Women’s Soccer Thurs 6:45p.m.-10:45p.m.6 weeks of regular games, plus 2 weeks of playoffs, 1 period of 25-35 minutes with running clock, 13 players maximum for each team, 8 teams maximum. 1st and 2nd place receive trophies.

FAMILY NIGHT Looking for quality time with your family? Then look no further, the Y has you covered. Each month we offer families a fun and healthy way to spend quality time together through our family night programs. Family night activities are open to members and the public and are typically free.

Family Night Opportunity - Kids in the Kitchen (6pm until 7:30pm)

Get your kids involved in a hands-on cooking experience that focuses on preparing healthy foods. Kids will learn how easy it is to make food that is not just healthy but also easy to prepare. Along with nutrition and cooking, kids will also be introduced to different kinds of physical exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

ACTIVE GREEN SPACE The McCormick Tribune YMCA's Active Green Space seeks to impact health and wellness with a focus on childhood obesity and diabetes in the Logan Square, Humboldt Park, and Hermosa neighborhoods of Chicago.

This 8 week program challenges you to get fit for the New Year. We’ll provide you with a weekly inspirational emails detailing fitness and nutrition education. All participants that complete the Challenge will receive a prize. The Overall female and male winners will receive a $25 YMCA program voucher.

YMCA members and non-members are welcome to participate
