We sincerely thank the Woodard & Curran Founda-tion for its generous donation. This money will go a long way to funding our May 2014 implementation trip implement-ing rainwater harvesting systems on ten homes. Your contribu-tion will significantly help in

our efforts to make daily access to clean water a reality for the people of Guachthuuq, Guatemala. - Michele Mensing, President, EWB-USA WPI

2013 was a successful year for the Woodard & Curran Foun-dation. Major progress was made in increasing our donor base, and as a result, the Foundations Board of Directors voted to increase funding for grant awards, from the two awarded in 2012 to three in 2013, totaling $10,000. Representatives from the Foundation traveled to award the three grants to the following organizations:

BangorLandTrust:$2,500grantfortrailimprovements,informational kiosks, and improved trail signage.

    NewHampshireAudubon:$4,400grantforEnvironmen-tal Education Outreach Program

INVESTMENT FUNDIn 2013 the Woodard & Curran Foundation investment fund benefittedgreatlywithstrongequityreturnswhilemaintainingaconservativeallocationfavoringliquidityandpreservationof capital. As the Foundation continues to grow, its allocation and balance of long-term returns with short-term volatility will be reflectedinanevolvingassetallocationthatPlimsollMarkandthe Foundations Board of Directors will constantly monitor.

I continue to be impressed with the Foundations asset size and growth in such a small and competitive community, your level of dedication and professionalism, and the extraordinary focus at attaining your goals.

Since its establishment in 2010, the Foundation has awarded grants to communities far and wide. These grants were made possible by generosity alone. It is very rewarding to be a part of something so meaningful.

Yesterday morning we had a cheery crowd of able-bodied and energetic outdoor enthusiasts, includ-ing three small children, who assembled the new and safe bridge at North

Penjajawoc Forest. Thank you so much for making this possible! -LucyQuimby,President

BangorLandTrustThank you for the grant to our Massa-besic Audubon Center for environmental education programs in Manchester, NH schools. These programs teach children about natie plants, animals and habitats in New Hampshire. Programs such as Fabulous Frogs, Food Chain Connection, and Winter Ecology increase awareness, respect and appreciation for the natural world and build a foundation for future stewardship of New Hampshires natu-ral resources.
