Welcome to the dog days of summer, a time when we hopefully can get away and enjoy some lazy time near water or in the mountains or somewhere else relaxing. Our Spoonbread Festival Planning Committee needs to add two important members to our Steering Committee for the upcoming festival.

Activity / Event Chairperson for the Car Show: Will work with volunteers and Chamber staff to coordinate the Car Show, scheduled for Sunday, September 23rd.

Activity / Event Chairperson for the Motorcycle Events (Rally, Show & Poker Run: Will work with vol-unteers to coordinate the Car Show, scheduled for Sat-urday, September 22nd.

The Spoonbread Festival is a family friendly event. Consequently, exhibitors are discouraged from the display or sell of items that may offend our festival attendees. The sale, display and giving away of the confederate battle flag or merchandise bearing the image of the confederate battle flag is prohibited, with limited historical exceptions, at the Spoonbread Festival, pursuant to Executive Order of the City of Berea. An exhibitor who violates this prohibition will not be permitted to participate in festival events in the future.
