World's Greatest Shave Leukaemia foundation
The world's greatest shave is an awesome charity to help people with leukaemia and all you
have to do is shave or dye your hair and donate or fundraise money for the cause.
Dear Parents/Caregivers
State Election
Caniaba Public School is once again a voting station for the upcoming state
election on this Saturday March 23rd
. Our P&C are holding a BBQ & Cake Stall
on the day and will need helpers (just an hour of your time would be very much
appreciated) and donations. I know that we have amazing cooks in our community
– just a reminder that all saleable cake items need to come with a list of
ingredients. There are stickers available at school when you drop your goods off to
tick ingredients rather than write them all out (thanks to Andrea).
School Camp
We are very excited about tonight’s school camp. Campers can arrive from
5:30p.m. Please remember to bring any medications if your child needs them.
Our staff will provide dinner for everyone at around 7p.m.
Breakfast will be provided the next morning for all
campers. Students will need to bring their school uniform
for Friday ready to head to Ten Pin Bowling.
All students will be going to Ten-Pin Bowling
tomorrow. A permission note went home
yesterday.
Road Works
As you are aware, major road works will be occurring near our school commencing
on 26th
March. The Lismore Council Staff, who visited the school on Tuesday,
have assured us that at drop-off and pick-up times they will try to ensure the least
delay possible.
Kindergarten Photo
Our 2019 Kindergarten photo will be published in the Northern Star on
Wednesday 27th
March in the Kindergarten Photo Supplement.

Rivers Secondary College Roadshow Yesterday, year 5 students went to Lismore Public School to do some activities and it was really fun. Some of the activities were drumming, painting, chemistry, creative writing and drama.
The first activity we did was English. We worked with the year 8 and we had to write two stories. One was “what would you do if your teacher fell asleep in class” and the second one was “what would you do if you saw tigers around the corner” The second activity we did was drums. First we did some beats. One was called the “Mash the bananas and peanut sandwich” and it was really fun. Then we played a game where someone had to go behind the tree then someone else had to start the beat and everyone had to do it then the person behind the tree came out and guessed who started the beat. All the activities were fun and we all had a great time. By Oliviah
