New York Time Contest
During the month of October, students from
Lynn Moore and Colleen Contreras’ English 11
class participated in the New York Times Learn-
ing Network Review Contest.
Students were asked to go out and experience
works of culture that were new to their daily
lives. Then they had to write about the
experience and submit it to the New York
Times. Two students from Ridgewood High
School were given honorable mentions for
their submissions.
Ridgewood High School would like to congratu-
late Catherine Keating and Emily Holmquist on
their award. Out of over sixteen hundred en-
tries, there were only nine winners, nine run-
ners-up, and twenty-three honorable men-
tions. This contest was also a great opportunity
for students to experience new cultures.
FAST FACTS...
According to a recent survey taken by 758 Ridge-
wood parents, 83% say that they would recommend
