for writing Essays

Understand the question and know what it is asks you to do
Essay questions are about topics that most students are familiar with.
A question that asks you to compare and contrast, or agree or disagree , gives an issue and the context in which it is founds, then a task ( a problem to resolve) .
The response to the question ( the solution to the problem) should include a discussion of the issue and your position regarding the issue.

Introductory ParagraphFunctions of the IntroductionA well-written introductory paragraph performs several roles:1.It attracts the reader’s interest. Encouraging him or her to continue reading essay.2.It supplies any background information that may be needed to understand the essay.3. It presents a thesis statement. This clear , direct statement of the main idea of the paper usually appears near the end of the inroductory paragraph 4. It indicates a plan of development. In this “preview” the major supporting point for the thesis are listed in the order in which they will be presented. In some cases, the thesis and plan development appear in the sentence.

Writing a good Thesis To write a good thesis, you must begin with a
subject that is neither too broad nor too narrow. Suppose, for example, that an instructor asks you to write a paper.

When army instructor train new recruits, each of their lessons follows a three-step formula.

answer to your question. Be sure, though that the question is closely related to your thesis.
