UNILOG has operated both warebarges and wareships which have proved logistically and finan cially viable in support of drilling campaigns. There is now the next generation of ‘wareship’ entering the market which will afford twice the capacity of existing OFSB’s offering even more advantages to a drilling programme. This new breed of OFSB is self propelled and can mob/demob and relocate in the field without the requirement of tugs. This vessel will have sufficient accommodation for berth and catering subsistence for all service companies personnel, who are therefore retained infield and can be readily transferred to the rig with their equipment – avoiding distant hotels and helicopter rotations. With all drilling materials and equipment the rig requires being infield, the opportunity to reduce the number of supply boats employed introduces a significant saving in charter costs and additionally nullifies the costs incurred by OSB’s running between the rig and a shore  base – a substantial saving in fuel consumption and related port costs. We consider it prudent for client’s to contemplate the engagement of an OFSB for their offshor e drilling campaign and revert to operating through an onshore supply base as and when an OFSB is contracted elsewhere and unavailable from the market.  1 / 2

UNILOG has operated both warebarges and wareships which have proved logistically and financially viable in support of drilling campaigns. There is now the next generation of ‘wareship’ entering the market which will afford twice the capacity of existing OFSB’s offering even more advantages to a drilling programme.
