JESUS CHRIST IS THE SAME •  Hebrews 13:8 states, “Jesus Christ is the same

yesterday and today and forever.” The author may have written this to remind second generation Christians of the authority, power, and perfection of their leader.

•  Jesus is with His disciples, “even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

•  This quality is called immutability. This does not mean Jesus is literally “changeless”, but it does mean His essence, His divine attributes, His moral perfection cannot change.

I, THE LORD, DO NOT CHANGE

•  “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent” (Numbers 23:19).

•  “Even they will perish, but You endure… But You are the same” (Psalm 102:26-27).

•  “For I, the Lord, do not change” (Malachi 3:6). •  “Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who

draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them” (Hebrews 7:25).
