INTRODUCTIONletter froM the direCtor

Create. equate. Make it with Math explores some of the ways that art and math work together. Perspective, the Golden Section, and other mathematical systems form the foundation of good drawing. But art also enriches the study of math for children and adults. New classes for adults include: Go Figure: Figure Drawing on the Town, Drawing 1-2-3, Abstract Painting: Add a New Element, and Etsy™: Setting Up Your Shop.

Complimentary workshops for adults in Glass Blowing, Step-by-Step Landscape, and Step-by-Step Still Life are being offered this fall. Pre-registration is required and participation is limited, so sign up early!

Our program is expanding its professional development opportunities for adults with a series of Interior Design courses for professional designers who want to expand and update their skills. We are also offering several design drawing courses, and expanded 13-week Photoshop® and Illustrator® courses. When enrolling for these or any other adult classes you will receive an email several days prior to your class to let you know the class location.

Youth, ages 6-17, can try Numer-Animals, Mosaic Art Shapes, Drawing in 3-D, Fractal Watercolor, Make Your Own GIFS, Sew and Go, Doodling in Math, and much more. Classes are held on Saturdays and meet at the Woodbridge N. Ferris Building, 17 Pearl Street, or weekdays after school. Check out our expanded selection of after school classes by age group in the youth section of this brochure.

We are excited to offer Saturday and Sunday afternoon birthday parties for children this fall in our youth studio at the Woodbridge N. Ferris Building. For more information, call 616.451.2787, ext. 3012.

Register online at www.kcad.edu/youth-and-adults or call 616.451.2787.
