October is a month for MANY things! Here are some ways to utilize them
in your homeschool!
Adopt a Shelter Dog Month
Don’t have room for a new addition!?! No biggie!Other options to help could be:● Visit the shelter dogs! More human exposure helps
them!● Collect food and/or bedding, toys, etc. to donate● See if you can volunteer your time● Promote available dogs on your Twitter or Facebook
pages to get them out there and be adopted!
Bullying Prevention Month

Apple Month
So many things to do with apples for homeschool!

Fire Prevention Week Oct. 6-12
Use the whole month, not just a week!
● Talk about fire safety● Create and practice a family fire drill● Check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, replace
batteries● Be aware of fire dangers around your home
International Walk to School Month
I had to include this! HEHE● Take a walk around the block. Practice spelling words
aloud as you go. ● Count the steps it takes you to walk a block. Add up how
many blocks it may take you to get to a mile.● Time your walk.● How many places can you walk to from your home?
