Art GuidelinesAnchor Line prides itself on the quality of imprint on all of our prod-ucts. Therefore, we have established guidelines for art necessary to maintain our high standards. Most of our products are printed using digital printing methods. Because there are limitations inherent in this process, there are minimum requirements for art provided to us to ensure clean, legible printing. They are as follows:

Send Vectored Digital ArtDue to changing technology we accept digital art only. We can receive

art digitally by e-mail ([email protected]) or on remov-

able disk, formatted for either Macintosh or PC. We accept CD/DVD’s.

When e-mailing art, please indicate distributor’s name and P.O.# in the

e-mail message. Macintosh screen fonts and postscript fonts used in

creating art should be included or the fonts should be converted to

paths/outlines. PC fonts should be converted to paths/outlines. Hard

copies / flat art may require an art charge to rebuild.

Digital Art FormatsAll files should be vectored digital art. We prefer files formatted in

Adobe Illustrator CS5 (or lower) and Adobe InDesign CS5. We accept

.ai, .pdf and .eps format for vector art.

We also accept raster art for products manufactured on our new

4-Color Process system. These should be high resolution CMYK images

of 300 dpi (or higher, at the final print size needed).

These types of images will be reviewed upon receipt for quality. Ex-

amples of raster images are .png, .jpeg, tiff, gif, and .psd (Photoshop)

files. We prefer art saved over a transparent background (.psd and .tiff

are examples of file types that can be saved over transparency.)

Anchor Line can also prepare images for these products from flat art

or photographs.

Line Weight and TypeAll solid lines in artwork should be no thinner than 1/2 point (.007”) –

white lines reversed out of solid color should be thicker than 1/2 point

where possible. Type should be no smaller than 6 points in size (be-

cause typestyles vary so much, it should be noted that some fonts have

very narrow strokes or very narrow negative spaces, which requires

them to be larger than 6 points).

QR Codes are NO CHARGE!

Color, Registration and Digital PrintingOur plastic is glossy, so we follow PMS “C” (coated) colors not “U” (un-

coated) colors. Digital prints on the finished product may have a

noticeable line and dot pattern. Halftones, light colors and grays,

produced as a digital print, have a noticeable dot pattern, not the

flat, smooth color displayed on a computer monitor. We can not hold

exact registration in the digital printing process.

Second side registration may vary 1/32-1/16”

We are unable to provide an exact PMS Color match on digitally printed

products. We can provide PMS matching on screen printed products.

Art Requirements Summarized:All files should be vectored digital art created in Adobe Illustrator with all fonts converted to paths/outlines and linked images embedded. Raster art should be CMYK for-mat, 300 dpi (at final size, minimum) and saved on a trans-parent background.

How to Calculate Square Inches:

For Example: The Apple below measures 1.75 inches by 2.25 inches. 1.75 x 2.25 = 3.93 Square Inches Round Up to the nearest whole inch, 3.93 will be charged for 4 Square Inches Total.

General Information

Normal Production Time: 7 business days from credit and art approval. The 7 day lead time applies to all the products 5,000 pieces or less. The 7 business days does not start until the day after the purchase order is received and only if all purchase order and artwork requirements have been met. Email proofs will extend the lead time by 1 day. Standard Service time will also be extended by order or artwork changes, proof approval delays or credit issues.

Rush Orders: If you require a shipment quicker than our normal production time, contact customer service to see if a rush service is available for an additional cost.

Acknowledgements: Anchor Line acknowledges all orders via fax or email. The acknowledgment serves as your notification of accurate pricing and the ship date. Please carefully read the acknowledge-ment.

Less than Minimum: Anchor Line does not offer less than mini-mum.

Standard Plastic and Ink Colors: See specific product page for color availability. If you are unsure of our standard plastic colors please request a free random sample.

Custom Mold Charge: See specific product page for mold charges. Molds are property of Anchor Line.

Oversize Charges: Please contact customer service.

Drop Shipments: If the shipment is to more than one address, add $10 (G) for each additional address (minimum 250 pieces per drop shipment.)

Split Shipments: If an order calls for more than one shipping date the charge is $10 (G). The entire order must be shipped within 3 months. Minimum quantities apply to each shipment based on product minimums.

Copy Change: $15 (G) per copy change. 250 piece minimum per copy change.

Ink Color Change: $10 (G) per ink change. 250 piece minimum per ink change.

Plastic Color Change: 50 pieces per plastic color with minimum order quantity required. See specific page for available plastic colors and minimum order quantity.

Overruns and Under runs: We reserve the right to ship +/- 5%. The exact quantity charge is $25 (G).

Spec Samples: $20 (G). Custom shaped products will also incur a mold charge

Virtual Spec Samples: $10 (G) plus any art charges if needed. The charge for the virtual spec samples is REBATED BACK once order for quantity is placed (not including the art charge, if applicable).

Email / Fax Proofs: First faxed proof or email proof is free upon request after an order has been placed. If we followed your instruc-tions, and changes are required, an art charge to prepare new artwork will be incurred.

Product Proofs: $20 (G). Custom shaped products will also incur a mold charge. On large quantity orders, 10,000 pieces and above, Anchor Line requires a pre-production proof. If we followed your instructions, and changes are required, an art charge to prepare new artwork will be incurred.

Reorders: Please refer to the previous, invoice or order number, P.O. #, date it was purchased, and if possible a sample to insure exact reproduction.

Order Confirmations: Anchor Line is not responsible for duplicate orders if the confirmation order is not marked “DO NOT DUPLICATE.”

Cancellation Charge: Orders cancelled will be billed for work we have already completed.

Samples: Free random samples and catalogs. All samples will be shipped via regular mail unless a UPS or FedEx account number is provided. Please fax or email your request.

Adjustments: Please review your order upon receipt. Complaints must be registered within 60 days after receipt of merchandise. Credit will be issued only for the quantity returned. Factory must authorize return of merchandise.

Terms: Net 30, subject to credit approval. F.O.B. our plant.

C.O.D.: Anchor Line does not accept C.O.D. orders.

Tax: Missouri residents charges 5.975% sales tax, unless Missouri exemption certificate is received.

Recycling: Anchor Line recycles our plastic scrap, which improves the quality of our lives. It does not affect the superior quality of our products.
