Traditional Black Sea Region Costumes
Modern woman of Trabzon, beginning
of the 20th century
(Ordu -Giresun - Trabzon - Rize with central towns)
It is a kind of hat used by urban women with three types
1) shape of silver disk
2) with golden wire ornamentals
3) with golden coins on

Traditional Costumes of Black Sea Region
It is a kind of shirt for women with the color of
cream sewed by feretiko and women used to
wear it in Zibun.
FOTA, PEŞTEMAL, DOLAYLIK
Sürmene (red-black)
While Fota or with the comman name peştamal were being worn by all young girls or old women in villages, it was being worn by only old women in cities. Its colors were also the symbol of region where women used to live.
Rize (orange-black) Among İnebolu and center of Trabzon
VELVET
A vest sewed by velvet with inlaids on the sides. It was worn on Zibun. Instead of this, Fermene (a vest) was worn with no arms.
.
It is a kind of belt weaved by silk or
linen. The ones without motifs were used
by men.
It was called Lahor as it was imported from a city with the same name. It was a cloth weaved by thick linen.Today, it is still worn by women with the name of Lahor or Dolaylık.
A kind of dress with the legth fom neck to ankle. Its color, the number of buttoms and ornaments used to change according to region to region.

They are original socks for girls and known as ALAÇORAP in Ordu region.

It is a kind of fez with colorful ornament and made of pad
They are colorful headscarfs made from cheesecloths and called as YAZMA.
It is DIŞ SAYA .It is white etamine with designs of colorful, synthetic ropes.
Şalvar for women, made from white etamine cloth with canvas embroideries on legs
Arkalık Şal,woven at hand looms as three parts and seamed together to wear on waist
Şal öynük,woven from wool threads and designed with colourful yarns and beads.
