Maggie Dent Roadshow
All parents and community members are invited to come along to the Maggie Dent Roadshow in the Condobolin Public School hall next Monday, 14th November starting at 9.30am. Maggie is travelling all over New South Wales helping parents and carers learn more about how to make our children more resilient. Morning tea will be provided.
BRICK Workshops
All primary students will be involved in the Building Resilience in Condo Kids (BRICK) program on Tuesday, 15th November at school. In the workshops, the students will look at the things they are good at, and how to be more resilient.
Book Fair
We will be holding a book fair at the school this Thursday. Many of the students will have had a chance to have a peek beforehand. Parents are welcome to come in at the following times: 8.30 - 9.10 am; 11.10 - 11.50 am; 3.10 - 4.30 pm to purchase books. This is a great opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done early.
Stage 2 Excursion
We have had reports that the students at the Stage 2 camp are having a marvellous time. They have been shooting arrows in archery, building rafts, canoeing and are going to be grass skiing.
The Stage 2 students not on the excursion have also been involved in a range of physical activities at the gym each day.
Student Attendance
We have been showing improved attendance at school this year. There are still some students whose attendance is of concern. Referrals to the Home School Liaison Officer are being made. Where there are more than 30 unexplained absences in 100 days, referrals are required to be made to Family and Community Services. Please ensure that ALL absences are explained within seven days of the absence.
Lunch Drop-offs
Parents and carers are reminded that when dropping off lunches or other items, these need to be brought into the office. Students should not be going out the gate to collect items. This is a safety issue.
Meetings
Our next AECG meeting is to be held on Tuesday, 22 November at the Wiradjuri Study Centre. Parents and community members are invited to attend.

THE CANTEEN. PLEASE CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING ON ONE OF THESE DAYS. THE CANTEEN CANNOT
OPERATE WITH ONLY ONE WORKER.
Kindergarten Visits
This is an opportunity to visit the Kindergarten classroom and interact with the current Kindergarten students.
Where children can come, look around and join in some of the learning experiences that occur on a daily basis at
school.
This opportunity will offer students to take part in a 40 minute lesson and give parents the chance to see how
team teaching occurs. It is also a great time for parents to ask questions if they have any further queries
regarding coming to school.
A teacher will be available to speak to and give parents a tour of the school while the lesson is taking place or
they may wish to just sit and enjoy seeing their child meet some new friends and watch the teachers work their
magic.
Kindergarten visits will be available on the following days
Term 4 – Week 6
Dates – Monday 14th November, Tuesday 15th November and Wednesday 16th November from 10.30 –
11.10am only These visits are replacing kindergarten orientation day.
Remember to bring in your completed enrolment forms and relevant documentation (birth certificate and immunisation certificate) as soon as possible.

Dear Parents, Due to the Stage Two excursion, our school is about to launch a Galaxy of Books Scholastic Book Fair NOW on Thursday 10
th November in
our school library! We would love to see you there. Each class will be given opportunity to both view and purchase books in class time but the library is also open on Thursday 8:30am to 9:10am and from 3:10 to 4:30pm for parents who would like to view the books with their children. Our Fair will be a wonderful reading celebration giving your family the perfect opportunity to select books together. Plus your support of this fundraiser provides valuable learning resources for our school.
I hope you can join us at our Galaxy of Books Book Fair to help us celebrate reading with our students and the school community. Yours sincerely, Sharon Wright Librarian
Friday 11th November at 10. 50 am. Condobolin Public School will be holding an assembly in front of the Memorial Gates at the Infants end of the school. The service will be for approximately 15 minutes. Students will then return to class for lunch. David Kemp Assistant Principal.
Milo Cricket On Tuesday 25th October four teams ranging from
Year 3 to Year 6 from Condobolin Public School and St Josephs Primary School competed in the Milo Cricket
challenge at the SRA grounds. It was a fantastic day
with all students developing skills in batting, bowling, fielding and working as a team. Students played a
number of games with everyone getting a bat, bowl and field. The day was kindly organised by Matthew
Tabbernor from Cricket NSW and several students from the High School who umpired games. At the conclusion
of the day all students were given a show
bag containing cricket merchandise. David Kemp
Assistant Principal
