1. Beginbystandingwithyourlegsabouthip-widthapart.

2. Stepforwardsontoyourleftfoot.

3. Bringyourrightlegforwards.Tapthegroundinfrontofyourleftfootwiththeballofyourrightfoot.

4. Stepyourrightfootbackagainbehindyourleft.

5. Taptheballofyourleftfootbackbehindyourrightleg.

Bendyourhandsupfromthewristsothatyourpalmsfaceforwardsandout.Asyoustepandtap,sweepyourarmsfromsidetoside,keepingyourpalmslifteduptofacethefront.

Raise your arms above your head and swing fromside to side over your head as you step and tap.Eachtimeyourarmschangesides,bendyourhandsdownfromthewristandpointyourfingersdowntowardstheground.

Clenchyourfistsandbendyourarms.Pointyourelbowsoutinoppositedirections.

Asyoustep,sweeponeelbowuptowardstheceilingsothatyourfist ispointingdown towards theground.At the same time,bringtheotherarmacrossthebodysoyourfistsarealmostatarightangletoeachother.Repeatthearmmovementstotheoppositesideonthetap.

Dancing with a Partner

Youcanfaceeachotherorstandside-by-side.Ifyouchoosetofaceeachother,youwillneedtocoordinateyourstepssothatyoudon’tbumpintoeachother!Todothis,onepartnerbeginsthesequencebysteppingbackwardswhiletheotherpersonstepsforwards.

Onceyouhavemastered thebasicsyoucanaddyourownflourishes,likekicks,turns,headwobblesandexaggeratedfacialexpressions.
