Non-TraditionalInstructionDays/VirtualSchoolInextendedemergencysituations,theSuperintendentmaydeclarethatvirtualschoolbeusedtoprovideinstructionduetosevereinclementweather,pandemics,orotherunforeseencircumstances.

1. TeachersmustestablishGoogleClassroomorMicrosoftTeamsforeachoftheirclasseswithinthefirstweekofclassesandensureallstudentsareenrolledandhaveaccessedthevirtualclassroom.

2. TeachersshoulddownloadZoomorMicrosoftTeamsasspecifiedbythesuperintendent/designeeforfacultycommunication.

3. Teachersshouldensureteachersofexceptionalchildrenareincludedasappropriate(e.g.,assignedasanadditionalinstructor)intheirvirtualclassroomssotherequiredservicesandaccommodationscanbeprovided.

4. OnceVirtualSchoolhasbeendeclared:a. AllteachersmusthaveassignmentsavailableforeachclassinGoogleClassroomsor

MicrosoftTeamsby8:30a.m.eachday.(Theremustbeanassignmentforeveryday.)b. Teachersmustbeavailableforstudentquestionsandfeedbackbetween8:00a.m.and3:00

p.m.c. TeachersmaysetupvirtualinstructionviaGoogleHangoutsorMicrosoftTeamsandmay

requirestudentstobepresent/participateduringtheirassignedclassperiodtime(only).d. Teachersshouldprovidetimelyresponsestostudentsandfeedbackonassignments.e. TeacherswillcontinuetoentergradesthroughInfiniteCampusonpublishedtimesand

schedules(AcademicCalendar).f. Teachersshouldmakeuseofvariousinstructionaltoolsincludingvirtualfieldtrips,

approvedapps*,and/orinstructionalmanagementsystems/portals/websites(e.g,EverydayMath,Journeys,Turnitin,Springboard,iRead,APClassroom).

*TeachersshouldnotassignappsthathavenotalreadybeenusedinclassastheseappsmaynotbeavailableintheModel’sself-serviceappstore.
