OSAKA BIBLE SEMINARY: The

new school year is off to a good

start with our new students al-

ready giving their testimonies in

chapel. One of our male students

got married over the

spring break!

KANSAI CHRISTIAN SCHOOL: We

had some designated funds given to us 3

years ago from a VBS in Pennsylvania.

We have just used that for new basket-

ball goals, new benches for our play-

ground and a storage bin

for sports equipment. An-

other designated gift was

given to us recently for

musical instruments for

KCS. THANK YOU!

U.S.A, HERE WE COME! Getting ready to go to the States takes many weeks to establish our itinerary,

plan presentations, get a good price on air tickets, arrange for a car, and communicate with congregations

and individual supporters. In addition to that we have to prepare things here for the time we will be gone.

We have both been very busy with Kansai Christian School responsibilities—me as board chairman and Rickie

as Executive Assistant. She not only has to finish out the school year with accounts, programs, new stu-

dents and other arrangements, but she has been working hard to get things ready for the beginning of

school this fall. Writing our annual Osaka News (paper copy sent to some 1,100 addresses) has taken much

time with many rewrites, choosing pictures, captions, updating the mailing list, etc. Osaka News should be

out in July. If you are not on this list and would like to be, please let us know immediately by sending us

your postal address. We have one more International Night, June 6th, and have that planned, including

homemade ice cream! We are seeing “the light at the end of the tunnel” and look forward to our time in the

States among our supporters, friends, and family. We leave June 11th and return August

INTERNATIONAL NIGHTS are al-

ways both fun and meaningful! People

come from long distances (up to an

hour away) to have fellowship and get

“refueled” for the

month ahead! We an-

ticipate some new

guests to come next

weekend, which will be

our last International

Night until September.

First one to say the other person’s

name when the blanket goes down

gets a point!

TRIP TO OKAYAMA: We took a day off and went to

the Tottori Sand Dunes on our way to the Okayama

Christian Center Board Meeting a couple weeks ago. We

took a picnic lunch and my RC glider to the sand dunes, then

stayed overnight in Tottori before going go the board

meeting. It was nice to get away, even

though a fish hawk (kite) surprised us

by swooping down between us, hitting

our necks and taking my last bite of

lunch, leaving his scratch

mark on my thumb!

PRAYER MATTERS:

Chad and Jennifer, our son-in-law and daughter

who serve the Lord in northeastern Japan,

have just lost $1,100 in monthly support from

two churches who are having some internal dif-

ficulties. Please pray the Lord will provide for

their needs and ministry! Also, we would appre-

ciate your prayers for safety and stamina as

we travel around 15,000 miles in the States

this summer.
