REPAIR INOPERATIVE LIGHTING BUILDINGS 1667 AND 13 1 WORK REQUEST # 6345771

1. GENERAL INTENTION: It is the intention of this solic itat ion to obtain the supervision, expertise, labor,

materials, and equipment for repairing the deficient hangar lighting systems

2. LOCATION: Buildings 1667 (W ing) and 13 1 (FRC East), (Both Hangars on "A" Street).

3. DETAILED REQUIREMENTS. The Contractor sha ll:

a. This job will require use of an intrinsically safe high reach/man-l ift for use inside the hangars with

aircraft.

b. Replace the 37 hangar lights that are out (BUILDING 1667), with Gov't provided fixtures. a. Get them from 4464 (PWD warehouse on Roosevelt Boulevard) and repackage inoperative

fixtures in original packing and return to 4464 for return to manufacturer.

c. Repair the inoperative led's lights (they are 277 volt) in the south hangar bay, (BUILDING 131) ((3 Sets) of 2 lights each)

a. All the inop lights are on circuit 18

b. Lights are about 30ft. above grade c. This is on an active hangar deck, with aircraft on jack stands d. All coordination shall be through the Contracting Officer and FRC East

d. Upon completion show proper operation of hangar lighting system.

e. Turn all paperwork into the Contracting Of ficers Representative

4. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS. The contractor sha ll be required to: a. Coordinate a ll work and schedules with the Contracting Officer's Designated Representative and the

building occupants. All work performed is estimated using the hours of 0700- 1600, Monday through Friday. Any work performed outside of these periods must be, pre-approved.

b. Have all materials on-site prior to commencement. c. Complete the work within ninety (90) calendar days after contract is awarded . d . Use appropriate personnel protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection,

protective c lothing, and gloves. c. The contractor is responsible for any required permits. f. All new mate rials shall have submittals and must be submitted to the Contracting Officer and be

approved . g. All North Carolina Building Codes, Fire Codes, Statutes, NEC, OSHA Safety Codes and the U.S .

Army Corps of Engineer's Safety and Health Requirements Manual, EM 385-1-1 shall be strictly enforced. An accident prevention plan in accordance with the EM 385-1- 1 is required.

h. All material associated with the repair, replacement, or removal is the property of the contractor and sha ll be removed from the Aerial Target Range and discarded in an approved landfill.

1. The contractor is to stay o ff the grass. If grass is damaged during this contract it must be replanted with sod.
