RESEARCH AND PLANNING AND THE
HORROR GENRE
The research and planning is very important when developing a horror film this isbecause there are so many aspects that you have to consider and include.
Research takes place first, this is used to find the common codes and conventions related to the horror genre. If these typical codes and conventions are understood the producer is then able to create a finished product that will hold all the necessary elements so that the horror film is considered a horror.
Once the research has been collected the data can then be used for the planning stage so that the producer can understand the necessary elements that must be put into it in order to create a professional end product that fits the genre and appeals to the target audience.
