SECONDARY SCHOOL CONSTANTIN SAVOIU TARGU-JIU, ROMANIA

The school has large educational rooms, all of them in good conditions, due to

an efficient collaboration with the Local Council, with the parents and important

sponsors. In the newest of the three buildings (built in 2006) there are the physics,

chemistry and biology labs, which are newly furnished, have their own computer

and laboratory apparatus. There are two Technology labs, both connected to AEL

network , Internet, a library with 18,000 books and 2,300 subscribers , a gym, an

outdoor sportyard, central heating.The heads’ rooms, the secretariat, the teachers’

room are all equipped with computers, printers, telefax, xerox, security systems-

cameras on the halls. There’s also a school private radio-station (the prize awarded by winning the Gates opined to the endless knowledge Project).

Optional subjects: English, German, Economical an Antreprenorial Education, Health Education, Technology, Literature for Children.

Projects and national educational parteneship: Education in the European context, Junior Achievement, The Tree School, The Book-the window to the light.

Comenius courses: 10 teachers took part in the Comenius courses in Cyprus, Italy, Czech Republic, France, England.

International programes: Comenius, Spring Day in Europe, E-Twinning, Eno Planting Day, U4energy, Linking School Across Europe.

Local partnerships: with all local institutions, with school and kindergartens in town and our county.

Free time activities: trips, visits, school festivals
