1. Copyright permission letter for the song used in our film
opening Above we want to use the song Aint nobodys buisness by
Rihanna and Chris Brown in our music video, so we researched
Rihannas record label so we could contact them to ask for copyright
permission for the son. Rihanna record label is called Def jam as I
have highlighted .
2. We then went on to researching Def jam to find out that its
parent company is the Universal music group.
3. After researching on the Universal Music Group (UMG), this
Is when we decided that UMG would be the company that wed need to
contact for permission to use the song. We then accessed the UMG
official website and located their FAQ section to sought out how
wed contact them for their permission of the song.
4. When browsing on the FAQs page, we came across a question
concerning how to license music for a project and the answer was
that we must contact UMPGs Film and TV Licensing department via
email, telephone, fax or website. We chose to contact UMG via email
at [email protected].
