Daring to be as Daniel wasPrepared to stand for a worthy causeZealous to obtain God’s gift of lifeHands down everything was a willing sacrificeI asked my father, Lord where do I stand today?He said my child in ‘Glory,’ now cease not to prayIn the journey that is my characterI’ve found new gates to enterMy children waver not if you falterAre always the words from our heavenly fatherI asked again is there forgiveness for me Blessed are the children of God’s familyFret not today, for God is the only wayWake to pray give thanks so you doth not strayStand like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego Hebrew at heart and faithfulness they bestowed Bowed not to any graven imageYoung people we have the work of God to finishDon’t conform to the clichéd ideas of the worldBut hold fast to the purpose of God’s wordToday you and I can stand as firm as Daniel thenFaithfully we won’t condemn our souls to a lions’ DenWe need only do lil by lil as best we canShall we dare to be like Daniel and stand.Dare to stand having a purpose firmAnd yes willing to stand aloneStanding by God’s purpose trueWill you be among the chosen few.
