Postal Service
- Issue: Hardy Barracks and Camp Zama Post Offices’ credit/debit card machines inoperable• Internet access required for Credit/Debit Card terminals to send/receive
data
• Camp Zama post office lacked required internet hardware
• The government Internet Service Provider (ISP), Allied Telesis, does not provide internet service for Stars & Stripes building
- Resolution:• Camp Zama: Router installed, now have two operational ATM/Debit
terminals with a third on hand as a backup
• Hardy Barracks Custodian of Postal Effects searching for ISP vendor, KDDI is a potential candidate. Anticipate response from KDDI by 3 Feb 12

- Issue: Slow service, poor customer service, unnecessary delays, conflicting policies
- Resolution:
•Weekly training has commenced on processes to improve customers’ understanding of the housing waiting list/assignment process
•Currently under review and changes being made to inbound newcomers information to provide better knowledge/understanding of Camp Zama housing process
•Changes/updates being made to the Camp Zama Website regarding Army Family Housing and Unaccompanied Housing
• Assignment processes are being modified to improve customer support and make housing assignment more customer focused for the housing counselors

TIPS FOR INTERNET SPEED• INTERNET PEAK HOURS are from 6-10 PM Mon – Fri and
Weekends.
• If you are using a router for wireless connection, you can expect your internet speed to be 1-2 Mbs slower than what you are paying for.
• Did you know for each computer connected will reduce the speed accordingly?
