Feel:● We observed the need for the fountain to be cleaned as it was a

health risk to everyone in the surrounding areas.● It was a blemish to our beautiful school lawns● The fact that the gardeners have to buy their vegetables with the

salary that they get while there is space to grow their own ones for free

The areas we would like to see changed is the interior of the fountain, the area around the fountain and the fountain fence

Water anyone?

We found the fountain was filled with dirty water which had mosquitos and rocks in it.We realised that it was a health risk to everyone in the surrounding areas.

Imagine/Visualise Success

Paint fence around the fountain as it was rusty and the paint was gone.

Take out the water, rocks and debris from the fountain.

Clean the surrounding areas(the garden around it) Put

fertiliser in soil for the gardeners veggies.

Plant seeds for the gardeners veggies.

Day One:

Mr Muscle working hard.

We removed the rocks and then lined the nearby garden with them.

The grass is always greener on the other side.We put the rocks that we removed from the fountain around the garden next to it.We removed the weeds from the garden therefore making the garden more presentable.

In line with our schools value of caring we decided to give our junior school learners a chance to make a difference in someone's life and the environment while learning and having fun along the way.We also believe that by inculcating strong values while they are very young we let them grow up as caring people and a valuable asset to the community.

Helping the next generation

The little ones were very eager to help us and we really enjoyed working with them.

Helping the environment

By removing the weeds and dirt from the garden we gave the plants a new lease on life.

A new broom may sweep clean but an old broom knows the cornersOur team worked very hard to make sure the interior of the fountain was rock and dust free.

We felt very proud to work with such a dedicated and willing team of students

They worked tirelessly every Friday braving the cold and heat to make a difference for our gardeners and school

Our project has changed the gardeners lives for the better. We also reduced the chances of sickness from the water and debris

We made the view from the office more appealing by painting and straightening the fence
