Screening100% of school population is screened through the NWEA tests in

grades 1-9.

Evaluation 1Students scoring 95th% or higher on both of NWEA tests will be given a reasoning instrument (such as

SAGES), or creativity instrument (such as Torrance)(In spring students must score 90% or higher & have

a teacher recommendation score of 65.)

Evaluation 2Approximately the top 10% of

scores on instruments administered above will be evaluated in

Placement Step. (100 on SAGES)

We will be introducing these first 2 concepts in class but students will work on the activities throughout the week:

Creative Thinking Skills- outside the box Critical & Analytical Thinking Skills-problem

solving, reflective Executive Processes – planning, organizing,

goal-setting

Technology

2nd/3rd Graders will be using 1:1 netbooks. The programs we will be using are Google Drive and Edmodo.

4th-6th Graders will be using 1:1 iPads and will have computers available if needed. They will be using Google Drive, Edmodo, iMovie, and Explain Everything on regular basis.
