ILLETERACY DEFINATION

Illeteracy is generally defined as inability of a person to read or write either because of inadequate reading skills or lack of any or enough necessary knowledge.

Illeteracy is an inability of a person who have never learnt how to read or write.

VERSES IN ISLAM

“Read in the name of they LORD Who created you……….” (Al-Quran)

The holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) aptly reveals the importance of education.

He also Critisized the illeteracy and imphasized the literate to teach the illeterate.

Prophet of Allah (S.A.W.) has said: "O Lord, increase my knowledge!"

VERSES IN ISLAM

Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) is quoted to have said:

"He who learns for the sake of haughtiness, dies ignorant. He who learns only to talk, rather than to act, dies a hyprocite. He who learns for the mere sake of debating, dies irreligious. He who learns only to accumulate wealth, dies an atheist. And he who learns for the sake of action, dies a mystic."

integrity of a nation. Illeterate nations do not value their

freedom.They involve in their petty quarrels and disgrace their country.

Illetracy is multiplying in the different areas of the world but more in developed countries like Pakistan,Sumalia,Middle east,and other african countries.

Illeteracy rate is below 28% in the world.Most of the illeteracy is among the children which is 114 million children in the world.

Illeteracy rate is very low and in alarming situation among the womens.

600 million (two third) out of 893 million illeterate are women.it is very critical situation.

Litracy rate is 72% among the youngs of 15 to 25 years,57% is 25 to 45 years,46% is 46 to 55 years,38% is among 56 to 65 years.
