Video Camera: before this production I was not aware of the proper usage ofvideo camera as we were doing our preliminary task I started to pick up cameratechniques and camera angles and movement. It is a professional piece ofequipment that people use to make videos such as short films, clips, musicvideos etc. you can get more expensive camera’s which are more technical andare designed for different things.

IMac: I didn’t understand how to work a Mac before I id this course, I havelearnt how to use, Garage band, Safari and IMovie this was handy because weused the IMac to make our film opening, the film opening would have looked sogood if we hadn’t have used the IMac. Imac’s are specially used for music, art orMedia in our school because there are special software's which cater for thetechniques needed.

Tripod and SD Card: When we first started Media I was not familiar with these, Idid not know that the tripod for a camera was so important when wanting to geta slow steady straight shot and I did not know at all what a SD card was now Ihave found out that the tripod is very useful when you want the camera to staystill and have a eye level shot and also now I know the SD card carries all workdone on the camera both videos and pictures and can be transferred to acomputer.

IMovie: I had known about this before from previous workingwith filming but I had not known how to officially work it such asadd effects, titles, change between clips. IMovie is used to createmovies, video’s , clips and adverts, IMovie is designed to helppeople designe those sort of clips and it is also easy to get the hangof so we thought we would try it as we were all new to it.

Garage band: I had already known how to use this so it was moreof a job getting on with it then getting to know it, garage band isdesigned to help you create any sort of music you like, it is set upwith as many different clips of sound from lots of differentinstruments which is easy to click and drag to make/create yourown music with. Unfortunately we found a copyright free musicwebsite with a piece of music one which fit our film openingperfectly and we went with it.

Google: I would have to say google is the online tool we usedmost to get information from such as historical facts like slaveryembellishment, google helped us to find out how people dressedand looked in 1833 and how they acted against slaves. Google washelpful for research and also if we needed help with software wecould of easily looked it up no problem.

Art Of The Title: Art of the title was a guideline for us mostly afterdoing the preliminary task we knew the site and it was eay anduseful going back and forth to check our film opening had mainlyeverything they did, it was also helpful when we did the timelinefor another film opening because when we went to do ours it waseasy for us to go back to that and check to see we had everythingwe needed and see how professional films had done it.

Blogger: we used blogger to update our course work online aswell as printing our course work off in a folder we had uploadedit online to our blog which each of us have. Blogs are very usefulthings they can be used for socialising, updating your thoughtsbut we have used it for our work.

Slideshare: Slideshare was very useful for me because some of mywork is on PowerPoint such as this is and I need to put it online Igo to slide share and upload my PowerPoint to it and I put it onmy blog thing is useful because otherwise I would have had tocopy and paste each page of my work on to my blog, im sure thishas been useful to other people who have done there work onpowerpoints.
