I chose to look at Little White Lies front covers as I preferred their design due to my love for art. I like that they suit the artwork to their magazine,

making the images drawn and cartoon like.

I liked these covers as they included more detailed backgrounds which could be interesting for the magazine for Spurious Minds as it is filmed in London so a London skyline could look good alike the busy backgrounds in

these covers.

TRON LEGACY COVER➤ One magazine cover that I found

particularly inspiring was the Tron Legacy poster. The artificial and circuit board theme that this magazine cover has reminded me of our own film plot.

➤ Little White Lies magazine covers have the masthead in the same position, on the top of the head of the figure including the title of the magazine, ‘Truth & Movies’ and the bar code creating an iconic house style .

➤ The film title on each cover is usually inserted into the picture itself, for example in this cover ‘Tron Legacy’ is part of the face. Another feature is that the magazine features the film as ‘the X issue’ for example this issue would be called ‘The Tron Legacy issue’ however this cover doesn't include this feature.

THE ARTWORK OF LWL➤ Each magazine cover of the

Little White Lies magazine is like a piece of artwork advertising the film using the main character or most famous actor as the image. The artwork is original however still recognisable. The artwork usually features the main actor or actress of the film edited to look cartoon like suiting the films genre. For example in this cover Jeff Bridges’s face is created using a blue circuit board linking to the colour scheme and plot of the film.

From the magazine covers I have studied I like the idea of having a skyline of London in the background and I like the more illustrated magazine covers so I could draw out my ideas and scan them into Photoshop CS6 where I could edit them to to look professional. I also have some good

photo’s I took during the process of filming and can edit them to look illustrated like the traditional Little White Lies covers.
