First I started with a striking background, a colour that will be unique to my magazine and be very eye-catching. I then took a picture at medium close-up; I then used a

outer glow effect to make the picture stand out better.

I then designed a 3d looking button with the price on it. I made the button a darker yellow/ orange so that it wouldn’t clash with the background but would stand out.

I created a title and made it black and gave it a shadow. I made the title of my college magazine appropriate, and had it on a slant for stylish effect.

I have also just added a selling point, being the poster on the bottom left.

I then added the main cover lines across the main image. I used a similar text style as the title so that it looked the part.

Free poster, is in bold and black, because it’s an important selling point. The poster has a frame to make it stand out.

Black bars at the top and the bottom of my magazine give it a stylish 80’s effect, and looked great when I added selling lines over them in white. I then added a bar code which I placed in the right hand corner of the magazine, to make it look authentic.
