Mrs. Roussell’s Classroom Newsletter May 16 th – May 20 th This Week’s Assignments Reading –Students will be performing reader’s theater. We will be working on fluency and reading with expression. Writing – We will continue working on a poetry unit and the students will be writing their very own poetry book. Math – Students will be working with tangrams and building 3-D shapes out of newspaper. Science – We have begun our Ecosystem’s Unit and will continue it. Our focus will be food chains, differentiating between the types of consumers, and discussing environmental issues and what we can do to help. Reminders to Parents 1. Remember to check the blog for new pictures and updates. 2. Check your child’s assignment book nightly and ask them about their day at school. Important Dates Nature Center Field Trip: May 17 th Perfect Attendance Field Trip: May 24 th PBS Cook-Out: May 25 th Last Day of School: May 26 th (Grade cards go home)
