Bred dina vida vingar，為Lina Sandell於1860﹣1865間所寫的著名晚禱詩篇。它是根據古丹麥或古瑞典旋律寫成，據信是源自於1569傳唱於瑞典及挪威等地的丹麥歌曲。歌詞大意是：耶穌聚集人們，如同母雞聚集小雞於雙翅下。

Pote Tin Kyriaki，英譯為Never on Sunday，1960年的希臘黑白電影。 敍述一個居住於希臘Piraeus港的個體戶性工作者Ilya，一位熱愛希臘事物的美國學
者、遊客Homer。Homer覺得Ilya的生活方式根本是希臘文化崩壞的典型，想把她導回道德的正途。本劇實為「賣花女」的翻版。（「賣花女」是愛爾蘭劇作家
蕭伯納的劇作，曾拍成電影，音樂劇「窈窕淑女」也是它的衍生物）。
本片男女主角分別是Melina Mercouri和
Jules Dassin。片中悄悄地將希臘文化呈
現給觀眾，包括舞蹈、音樂和語言。主
題曲在1960年代傳唱一時，作者Manos
Hadjidakis因此而奪得奧斯卡最佳歌曲
獎。導演、女主角等，也分別贏得奧斯
卡其他獎項。
最初，本曲是以希臘文寫成，曲名是"Ta Paidia tou Peiraia"，英譯為「 The children of Piraeus」。 Piraeus 是地名，希臘的海港。曲名反應了女主角的
生活、愛情及工作，都在 Piraeus；至於
電影名稱「 Never on Sunday」，是因
為女主角星期天絕不「營業」。希臘文
版的歌詞，其實與「星期天」扯不上關
係；不過，稍後出現的英文版、法文
版、德文版，乃至中文的粵語版、北京
語版，就有「星期天」了，難怪我發現
希臘文版的歌詞，似乎與英文版的差異很
大。本片是採希臘文版，英文版歌詞更俏皮，不忍割愛，羅列於後。附帶一提，
北京語版曲名「別在星期天」，由鄧麗君演唱。

Donna Donna 是一首爲Aaron Zeitlin的舞臺作品Esterke所創作的歌曲，由Sholom Secunda所寫，在猶太人中相當膾炙人口。作詞者是Itschak Katsenelson，他住在華沙猶太區的家人，於集中營慘遭殺害。有人認為本曲曲名是猶太語「Adonai」的變形，「Adonai」是上帝的名字。 這首歌普遍被認爲是反映猶太人「人為刀殂，我為魚肉」的悲哀。某日，我邊聽著這首歌，邊對照著歌詞，看著看著，哎！不禁放下剛要吞下肚的金門高坑牛肉乾。

Cossack Lullaby，哥薩克搖籃曲。哥薩克不是一個種族，但保有自己獨特的文化，大概像漢人中的「客家人」的概念吧！當年蒙古統治俄羅斯時，不願受蒙古統治的斯拉夫人就遷移到俄羅斯南部。之後，有些不願成為農奴的人也逃到俄南，這些人被稱為「哥薩克人」，是相對於「奴隸」的「自由人」之意。本曲名為「哥薩克搖籃曲」，但它未必出自於哥薩克，也可能是俄羅斯或烏克蘭。
懂俄語的人知道，「哥薩克」一詞有許多意義，也許有政治上的意義。但這是首兒歌，不會有複雜的含意，它單純就是指「英勇的騎兵」。
本曲作曲者不詳，作詞者是俄羅斯詩人Lermontov。Lermontov號稱是俄羅斯詩人普希金的傳人，但除非是對俄羅斯文學有興趣或有研究，如我等凡夫俗子並不清楚這位作者的來頭。這首歌一如多數俄羅斯民謠一樣，相當哀傷！看了歌詞，會更感傷。
曾在Youtube上聽到純「俄國版」，第一句的旋律略有差異，比起唱比較像一般母親能唱搖籃曲。第三句的詮釋也不一樣，Sumi Jo以她亞洲三大女高音的技巧，輕易地將此句唱得盪氣廻腸，別是一番風味。

Cielito Lindo ，源自於17世紀時盛行西班牙的詩歌曲式copla， 20世紀時變成一首墨西哥流行歌曲。中譯為「美麗的天空」，不過，根據維基百科，似可英譯為「Lovely Sweet One」，再中譯為「甜心小可愛」。為何呢？「 Cielito 」是「天空」，但它也可以是一個暱稱，相當於英文的「Honey」「sweetheart」。「lindo」是可愛之意，所以，中譯為「甜心小可愛」或「可愛小甜甜」似更貼近原意。
這首歌謠通常由mariachi樂團演出，不少藝人曾留下錄音，有西語版、英語版及其他語言。歌詞提到「 Sierra Morena」，雖然這是位於西班牙南部的山脈，但近幾十年來，由於是西班牙語系的國家，這首歌已變成墨西哥的主題曲，特別是在國際場合，像是世足賽。
網站上可找到這首歌的西文英文對照的歌詞，想從英文再譯成中文，唉！實在有困難。例如，其中有句「 Pretty little heaven, which are contraband.」，怎麼翻？「甜心小可愛是走私貨」？
想想，這英文歌詞會不會是軟體翻出來的？我強烈懷疑維基百科的英文歌詞是電腦軟體翻出來的，才會出現什麼「鳥」啊「鳥巢」等字眼。
其實，為什麼「甜心小可愛是走私貨」這句，還是有典故的。作詞者的靈感，源自於17世紀時的傳說。這個傳說是關於西班牙南方的一座山，就是前段所提到的「 Sierra Morena」；這座山為盜匪所盤據，而故事就
是在敍述甜心小可愛從匪徒魔掌中被救出，偷偷被「走私」出山寨的經過。這就是為什麼 甜心小可愛是「走私貨」。
這首墨西哥百年老歌，有數不清的眾多版本。本片的版本，大約只是原典版的2/5吧！根據歌詞，可愛小甜心有雙烏黑大眼睛，嘴角邊有顆痣。西方人或許不喜歡痣，認為那是瑕疵，網路上有位仁兄因而認為作詞者「顯然臉上也有顆痣」。「痣」這段歌詞寫得蠻有趣的，網路上找到一個歌詞最長的版本，茲列歌詞於後。

Je Te Veux，中譯為「我要妳」，是法國作曲家薩堤的作品。薩堤是十九世紀末的法國古典音樂家，在古典樂壇中稱不上是A咖。不過，如要依點播率來個排行，薩堤不會比莫札特遜色太多。不信？本首歌曲就耳熟能詳是不是？還常出現在您等待「轉接」的電話中呢！其他高點播率的作品包括：三首Gymnopédies、六首Gnossiennes，這些如夢似幻的音樂，該有個「玫瑰花」、「星空」之類的曲名吧？事實是，有人這麼翻：「三首裸男歌舞」「六首玄祕曲」…難以想像吧？薩堤當年就喜歡幫它的作品命個怪名，裸男什麼的，還算客氣。薩堤提倡「傢具音樂」，他認為他的音樂，作用像傢具。別人的音樂會，聽眾總被要求要全神貫注、專心聆聽，禁止交頭接耳；他的音樂會，卻「咦！你們怎麼都不聊天呢？趕快聊天。」無法理解？其實他所謂的「傢具音樂」，就是我們現今的「背景音樂」，音樂的存在就像是傢具一樣，你會使用它，但你不會特別在意它，如同你看到一把椅子，第一個念頭就是「坐下」，你絕不會特別去研究它是什麼牌子。這首作品，是薩堤為Paulette Darty這位女聲樂家所寫，他擔任她的伴奏已有多年。歌詞還真充滿法式浪漫！

Ich Liebe Dich，看了幾首看不懂的歌名，終於看到了我看得懂的非英文歌名。這是德語歌，不是我懂德語，是剛好懂這三個德國字，中文叫「我愛你」。但我高興的太早了，當我想搜尋這首歌的背景時，就遇到困難了：想像一下，以「我愛你」為關鍵字去google，會有多少網頁被搜尋出來？又怎知道網站介紹的「我愛你」，就是這首「我愛你」？所以，有關這首歌的背景，待日後補充。原唱是Dana Winner，比利時流行歌手，發跡於荷蘭，成名於德國、南非。很難想像這幾個國家，有何關聯？應該是「荷語」。比利時有荷語區，她會在 荷蘭發跡並不意外。德國與荷蘭是鄰居，德語與荷語血緣相近，也還沾得上邊。但南非呢？這不是英語系國家嗎？又在非洲，地埋、語言全不相近。這是歴史問題，第一批在南非殖民的白人，就是荷蘭人，荷語在南非還演化成子語言「斐語」（Afrikaans）。

Beau?ful Dreamer，一般中譯為「美麗的夢仙」，是美國音樂之父佛斯特的作品。佛斯特寫了大量的parlor song，「parlor song」一般我們稱之為「民謠」，但這種譯
法會與「Folk song」混淆。以我們熟悉的語言，譯為「民歌」比較恰當。只是，佛斯特
創作的「民歌」，不是專供大學生抱著吉他唱的「校園」民歌，而是給當時美國一般家
庭，一家人圍著鋼琴唱的「家庭民歌」，有人翻成「鄉謠」，似乎也可以。
這首歌號稱是佛斯特的「辭世之作」，但據考證，有這種稱號的佛斯特作品，起碼一打
以上。內容敍述某人對著一位「對世事漠不關心，且即將死去」的美麗女孩，所唱的情
歌。佛斯特的作品有個特色，經常出現死去的少女。這首深情款款、民謠風的民歌，特
色是雖然反覆卻令人愛不釋手的旋律，和襯底的和諧和聲。單調的琶音伴奏及反覆的旋
律，及本身「詩節式歌曲」的形式，刻劃出寧靜、祥和的情緒。

也有天空，這首歌就是「巴黎
的天空」。這是一部電影的名
字，主題曲與電影同名。
電影劇情如下：
在巴
黎的天空下，每天，我們都可以

苦老婦人，想餵她的貓，但貓走

Home Sweet Home，「我的家庭真可愛，整潔美滿又安康，姐妹兄弟很和氣，父母都慈祥…」，就是這首歌。提到它的中文名，「甜蜜的家庭」，或許仍
有人不知道，不過若哼上那麼一段旋律，100%的反應是「哦！原來是這一首…。
但您或許不知道，這首歌已有150的高齡了。
這麼一首歴史悠久的歌曲，想必有輝煌的歴史。先談談它被借用的盛況：瑞典作
曲家Franz Berwald在他的「巴松管協奏曲」曾經引用。義大利歌劇巨擎董尼才悌
（Gaetano Donizetti）在他的歌劇「安娜.波萊那」第二幕第三景，發瘋的女主角
唱出她返回童年故居的渴望，也是借用此曲的旋律。此曲是英國人填詞作曲，當
然少不了英國同胞的支持：Henry Wood「不列顛海之歌幻想曲」及Alexandre
Guilman「管風琴幻想曲」。瑞士鋼琴家／作曲家Sigismond Thalberg以此曲之旋
律，創作一系列為鋼琴的變奏曲。
在台灣，當晚上十點鐘前幾分鐘，商家播放費玉清的晚安曲，您知道是要打烊
了。但在廿世紀初的美國呢？愛廸生的默片「The house of cards」有一場景，描
述在邊界的一家酒吧，因一場搔動而倉促打烊。默片是沒有台詞的，只有配樂；
而配樂則是現場演出的，片中會出現字幕提示樂手該演奏什麼音樂。而酒吧打烊
這一幕，字幕顯示「演奏Home sweet Home」。這暗示：在那個年代，商家打烊
時的音樂，很可能就是Home sweet home。
聽過「四面楚歌」的「楚歌」嗎？這應該是首會令軍心動搖的一首歌，但誰也沒
聽過。然而，在美國南北戰爭中，Home sweet home就是一首「楚歌」。因為這
首歌使人想起溫暖的家，動搖軍心渙散，所以被禁演。
此曲在日本，稱為「 埴生の宿」，多處出現於電影中，我印象最深刻的，是「螢
火蟲之墓」。

Por una Cabeza 在西班牙語裏是馬術的專有名詞，意指與
對手僅差一個馬頭的距離，有
「勝負之間」的意思。作詞者將
之引申為男性追求女性時，在
「得」與「不得」之間，那種不
下不上的心情。所以，這首歌在
台灣被翻成「一步之遙」或「一
步之差」。由於電影「女人香」
曾引用這首曲子，所以無論中
外，許多人都稱之為「女人
香」，這名稱反而比它的西班牙
原名還來得響亮。
事實上，這首曲子早在1935年即
已寫作完成。引用這首歌的電
影，也不只「女人香」。只因
「女人香」中一段著名的探戈片
段，使得這首音樂成為大家耳熟
能詳的曲子，說它是「世界名
曲」大概也不為過。
第一次聽到Por una cabeza，並
不是在「女人香」，而是在「魔
鬼大帝﹣真實謊言」。電影散場
後，我迫不及待地直奔唱片行。
1994年的年代，網路還不普及，
更沒有google，想找這首音樂的
CD，只能問唱片行老闆。連跑
了台中五家大型唱片行，沒有一
家知道這首曲子是何來頭。我只好碰碰運氣，逢「探戈」的CD就買，花了不少錢，但
買到的是「遺憾」。因為，我固然喜歡探戈音樂，但就是找不到我朝思暮想，想再聽一
次的這首曲子。半年後，終於有張唱片，大辣辣的寫著：「電影女人香配樂」。我猜
想，這是不是就是我的夢中情「曲」呢？
因為銀兩有限，這張唱片又是高價位的，我很謹慎地先去錄影帶店（是的，當時連VCD
都不普及，更遑論DVD）租這部「女人香」，徹夜未眠，當晚就把它看完。這部電影還
真長，足足三個多鐘頭，忍不住就想快轉，但快轉時沒聲音，怎麼找音樂呢？終於看到

Que Sera Sera，英文的意思是「 Whatever Will
Be, Will Be」，白話中文叫「該怎樣，就怎樣」，
文雅一點就叫「順其自然」。
這首歌因為出現在希區考克電影「擒兇記」而聞
名，然而，它的歌名卻引起熱烈討論。對於一向以
為「金髮碧眼皆美佬，拉丁字母即英文」的我們這
群小島島民，反正都是外文，且是非英語的外文，
不值得關心。然而，其他地方卻可見到對歌名究是
哪種語言之爭論。
候選人有三個：義大利語、法語和西班牙語。多數
人的見解：「Que」在義語拼寫成「Che」，所以
義語首先出局；法語雖有Que但文法不對，也淘
汰，就剩西語。但奇怪的是，這首紅遍英語系各大
國的歌，為何取個西語歌名呢？有種說法，為了劇情需要，還有，西語在美國也
是大語言。
其實，這首歌的歌名雖貌似西語，卻道道地地是英國貨。文獻記載，最初它是在
16世紀時以義語形式出現：「 che sarà sarà」，雖然如此，它是英國某貴族世家
的家訓；之後，出現西語版本「 Que Sera, Sera」。再不久，它就如中國的「朱
子治家格言」，由家訓轉變成一句格言。但無論它是義語版或西語版，家訓或格
言，它始終僅出現在英語圈中。事實上，它並非義、西或法語，而是「西語單
字，英語文法」的混合體。
作詞/作曲者為何採用這句「英西合璧之治家格言」作為歌名呢？詞、曲作者都
粗通西語，兩位早年都曾在中、南美洲共事過。作曲者在一部電影中，看到某義
大利家族的墓誌銘上有「 Che sarà sarà」，他立刻記下，以作為歌名。作詞者稍
後改用西語版，因為「世界上有許多講西語的人」。
時至今日，拜這首歌的流行之賜，這句「英西合璧之治家格言」也隨之流傳到世
界各地，作為許多事物的名字，包括：書籍、電影、旅館、飛機等。不過，當年
的主唱歌手並不喜歡這首歌，說它的歌詞像兒歌。

Vårsøg 看到這文字就頭痛，顯然，這不是英文。這是挪威文，如以原文去
google，猜猜看，會找到什麼網頁？飯
店！我只好將挪威文的Wiki資料，以
google翻譯成英文。再將支離破碎的英
文，以我的想像力去拼湊如下：
「Vårsøg」， Hans Hyldbakk寫於1945年
4月的詩作，一般認為是作者僅次於「 E
slåttatæja.」的最著名作品。 這首詩完成
於二戰尾聲之際，詩名「春天」，含有
對「解放」的期待（當時，挪威被納粹
德國佔領），也是對「和平」的歌頌。

Mother, Sister 唉！挪威文也就罷了，畢竟它還是拉丁字母組成，這首英譯為「Mother, Sister」的韓國歌曲，我還真得投降了。試想，以「「Mother, Sister」
去google，會跑出多少不相干的東西來？我連試都懶得試。反而，我先將關鍵字
以google翻成韓文，再用韓文去google，倒還有些東西，但出現的網頁全是韓
文，另人有一股「韓」意啊！
這首歌是源自於高麗童謠，是以高麗詩人金素月的詩作為歌詞。完成於高麗被倭
寇殖民之時，高麗人希望能回到他們夢想中的烏托邦（可不是回到日治前、當滿
清蕃屬的時候。），一如我們台灣日治時期所產出的台灣民謠一般。歌曲內容是
有關於二戰期間被倭寇強逼、擄掠去軍隊的慰安婦。她們在軍隊中，受到豬狗般
的待遇。即令戰後，她們仍是有家歸不得。由於身心受到巨創，大多數的她們便
不結婚生子。原詩只有四行，難道是如同中國的五言絕句嗎？
