IMPORTANT DATES
• FALL SESSION I REMINDERS
• Tuesday Nov 4th: Last day to officially withdraw from a course
• Nov 27th – Nov 30th: College closed for Thanksgiving holiday
• Sunday December 7th- Last day of Fall Session I classes
• Dec 9th – Dec 15th: Final Examinations
• Dec 19th- Grades will begin being added to CUNY First
• Dec 24th-25th, Dec 31st- College Closed
FALL SESSION II
• Make sure that you are REGISTERED for at least 1-2 classes…CLASSES ARE FILLING QUICKLY!!!
• You must RE-ENROLL in any failed remedial for Fall Session II unless specified otherwise by your Advisor
• Shorter Session (6 weeks) will result in longer classes and intensified workloads…BE PREPARED
• SESSION II BEGINS!!!!
• Jan 5th- First day of Weekday Classes for FA II (Winter Session)
• Jan 7th- Last day to drop a class w/o “WD” grade

1) Enrollment periods: Our chapter has 4 enrollment periods each year; however, ASAP only pays for membership fees during the Fall I and Spring I enrollment periods
2) ASAP applicants must have a 3.5 GPA and have completed 12 credits at LaGuardia Community College. Please check and verify that students meet these requirements prior to application submission.3) During enrollment periods when ASAP pays for PTK membership fees, qualified applicants should fill out an application via Google Forms at this URL: http://studev.lagcc.cuny.edu/ptk/asap.htmlNO PAPER APPLICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED. 4) A final invoice for the ASAP PTK Inductees will be sent to Shayla, Caroline, and the Business office to complete payment of $65.00/student ($55 International PTK fee, $5 NY PTK region fee, $5 local chapter fee).5) If you have any questions about the process or criteria for qualification, please feel free to contact Caroline Mendez at [email protected]

• The selection process for these awards is rigorous and highly competitive with approximately 85 scholarships awarded each year out of hundreds of applicants. A review panel of distinguished university faculty and admissions professionals judge the applicants using criteria including: Achievement and academic ability, Financial need, Persistence, Leadership, Desire to help others
• Applicants are urged to begin as soon as the application goes to meet the strict Dec. 2 deadline

Queens College Transfer HonorsTo be eligible to apply, you must be a full-time student with 45+ credits in a AA, or AS program with a 3.3+ GPA. Students in AA/AS programs must ordinarily complete the degree to be eligible for scholarships.
Exceptional students with an AA/AS degree and a 3.5 GPA, or 60+ credits in a baccalaureate program and a 3.5 GPA can apply for scholarships ranging from half-tuition to full tuition (NY resident tuition rate).

Several other departments are creating honors programs that will be available for Fall 2014.

All eligible students receive a scholarship that is 50% of their financial need.
• In order to be eligible for the CCTOP scholarship, a student must:
• Be enrolled at a participating community college
• Be nominated by a member of the faculty or administration at your community college
