Planning Location: My house/York College Date/ Time: Equipment : Camera (Nikon L120), Tripod, Computer/Mac, Photoshop. Experimen t: I am going to study the theme of obsession after discovering something new. This will allow me to have a wide range of opportunities and subjects to look at, such as TV shows, music and films. The styles of photography I will be using are mainly Double Exposure and Hockney Montage’s because these two are the styles I like the most. I may attempt to create a Multimedia image but this may not make it into my final three images. I will mainly work from home so that I have all I need for my images readily available. For the rest of it I will work at college so I have the right equipment to construct my experimental photography. I will produce many images so that I have a good selection to choose from for my final three. I will also create a good range of images so that if some photographs aren’t that good then I will have back ups to choose from. I will probably create a couple of copies for each image (apart from the multimedia ones) to practice the technique and just in case some of the images don’t turn out too great, so I have back ups. They won’t all go to waste though as I will put them all on a contact sheet to keep examples of all the images I took and to showcase all of them, hopefully improving my final grade. It will also allow me to view all of the work that I did, which could be good to use in a portfolio of my work. In my images, I will show what obsession can look like and what effect’s it has on people. I have conducted research into finding out the results of obsession and it’s effect on people and I have already experienced it first hand. With this in mind, I feel like I will create some good images and pieces of work for this project.
