System Approach

Presented by :

Guided by :Prof . B.I.Midaknatti

Introduction :

We all come across manysystem, without system, noactivity will complete . Takeexample of human being .When body has to workeffectively and efficiently thebody system means every partof it i.e., eyes ,nose, respectively ect,of humanbeing should work completely .

Concept of system

To understand what meant by asystem .For this we will take example ofbicycle .What are the different parts sBicycle ? The Break, handle , chainpaddle etc. All these parts are essentialfor the bicycle to work properly hencethese are called components of thebicycle .

Suppose the break is not working thebicycle will not work. It affects thefunctioning of all other components.this shown that components are interrelated and inter dependent operatingtowards the effective functioning of abicycle

“A system has a number of components

operating together in an interrelated and

interdependent manner towards the attainment of

certain function”.

Bertalanffy (1951 ):

System as a “arrangement or combination

of parts or elements in a whole”

Ackoff (1971 ):

“ System is a set of interacted elements”

DEFINITION OF SYSTEM APPROACH

Chaechman 1968: “define systemapproach as a procedure forcharacterizing the nature of the system,so that decision making might belogical and coherent fashion, andperformance of a system might bedescribed

Bertalanffy 1968 : Who elaborated theconcept to say that “ system approachinvolved a consideration of alternativesolutions and of choosing thosepromising optimization at maximumefficiency and minimum cost in acomplexnetwork of interaction

4. Operation or implementation of phase

5. Evaluation of outcome

6. Improvement of the system

Teaching Method

Meaning :The first hand direct experience

prove most useful and effect ive in the process ofteaching and learning .However it is not alwayspossible to arrange for such direct experiencewith the help of suitable Audio –Visual Aids, material and equipments .

The education meant to provide suff ic ientknowledge and skil l to an individual in the use ofrelevant material and equipments helpful inproviding best possible real experience throughone’s senses of sight and hearing is termed asAudio – Visual Education.

Audio Visual Aids

Biswas - defines Audio Visual aids as “ any

device, to supplement regular instruction or stimulate

the learning process through sense of hearing like

natural sound, public address phonograph ,recording

,Radio programmers ,and visual ; any device to

supplement regular instruction or to stimulate learning

process through the source of sight like pictures ,

photographs ,models ,slides and motion picture ”.

Burton - “ Audio-Visual materials are those

sensory objects or images which initiate, stimulate and

reinfore learning ”.
