MISSION The Community Chest is a non-profit organization committed to raising and distributing funds in a professional and efficient manner to organizations engaged in meeting the Welfare, Education and Health needs of the Community.

“Enhancing Communities – Restoring Hope” We aim to meet the Social Responsibility Needs of all our Donors by facilitating the widest most effective distribution of funds.

“Funds derived from the Community for the Community” We strive to create a stimulating and challenging environment for volunteers and staff for personal growth and self-fulfillment.

Operation Sukama Sakhe (OSS)The origin of Masisukuma Sakhe, which is the motto on the crest of the Provincial Government of KwaZulu-Natal, is taken from the Prophet Nehemiah 2:18, where he yearns to rebuild a city that has been destroyed. Operation Sukuma Sakhe then is a call for the people of KwaZulu-Natal to be determined to overcome the issues that have destroyed the communities such as poverty, unemployment, crime, substance abuse, HIV & AIDS and TB.
