In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

• Film Poster• Short Film• Review

When given the brief, we knew we had to make a 5 minute short film and 2 ancillary tasks. We decided that a review and poster would best match the film, so we did research into existing poster and review.

FILM POSTER

The Film poster that we created can be linked to a conventional drama poster. When we did our research into this genre we found out that they all use a similar colour scheme, they are sometimes black and white, yellow, or even some blue but mostly grayish colour. REVIEW

The first thing we did was we took inspiration from empire magazine in the style of the review. We also used a 5 star rating system. Ultimately we did not change anything in the style of the review because reviews have a set style and if they don’t keep to it then people will not understand it. We included a plot, review, verdict and release date sections matching existing reviews. Sticking to conventions of a review.
