Blank Background – the editing of this is using of green screen. However, we will not be using something as plain as this. We intend to use a real setting that will not be superimposed onto the image later.

Notable Person – In the centre of the magazine cover is the director, or person of importance, this is a common thing within sight and sound magazine covers and we will be using this feature. We will have our director in the middle of our cover, or a character of importance from our film

Graphology – The use of handwritten comments beside the director makes it look fun. We are thinking of using natural features rather than editing them in, however this is interesting

Lighting – the high key lighting used in the image is contrasting to the lighting we intend to use but fits the tone of the main story within the magazine. The fun, comedic theme fits the nature of the film and the director, like this we will ensure our magazine cover fits the style of noir

Costume - The rough appearance of Richard Ayoade suits his personality and work as a director. Obviously we won’t use costume like this but in a way that suits our film. We plan to use a mysterious setting with a long coat, one typically seen in noir.
