Thus,“ Adab” in the original basic sense (in Arabic) as it is applied in

this Hadith (MA’DABAH) is the “inviting to a banquet.”

The idea of a banquet implies the host is a man of honour and

prestige, and that many people are present; that the people who

are present are those who in the host’s estimation are deserving of

the honour of the invitation, and they are therefore people of

refined qualities and upbringing who are expected to behave as

befits their station, in speech, conduct and etiquette.” [1]

WHAT ISLAM ?: Adab demands that we know this religion “Deen of Al-Islam”as only that which has been faithfully transmitted (connected) through the unbroken the chains of generations of ‘students- teachers- scholars’ up to the Prophet s.a.a.w.

learning of subjects but must have specific objectives i.e. towards learning of subjects but must have specific objectives i.e. towards
