Graduate Programs in Social Work
Social Workers connect individuals to available public services in order to help them better manage their daily lives. This can include the diagnosis and treatment of emotional, behavioral, or mental issues.
Social Workers are employed in many industries including: the government, hospitals, outpatient care centers, elementary and secondary schools, non-profits, detention centers, mental health clinics, and nursing homes.
As of May 2012, the Bureau of Labor Statistics Reported the Median Annual Salary of social workers was $54,560.

Applicants to Social Work graduate programs are usually required to demonstrate experience in social work or a related field, a strong academic record. Individuals with an undergraduate degree in social work may be qualified to participate in an advanced standing program (a 1 year intensive course of study to earn a master’s degree).
