A children's graphic novel series, Spartan and the Green Egg is a collection of stories about the adventurous journeys of the young explorer Spartan, his three friends, and a dog. The sci-fi series follows Spartan and his companions, who, with the help of an egg-shaped organic alien-being-spaceship, travel across the universe to learn about the world. In each series, the characters explore a new place, which allows readers to discover various regions, and the issues facing each of them.

Spartan and the Green Egg• The first three books in the series are available. Book 1, A Trip

to the Rainforest, details the journey of Spartan and his friends into the Amazonian rainforest and faces the problems of deforestation and biodiversity degradation. Book 2 The Reefs of Mindoro Island, takes place in the Philippines, where readers learn about destructive fishing methods that are destroying the island's beautiful reefs and have fun finding a solution. Book 3 Adventure at Wadi Allaqi, describes their experience in the Sahara desert and looking at the water scarcity in the region. Six more books are in the pipeline including Book 4 The Poachers of Tiger Mountain, published this Autumn.
