But in sickness or in health, the tube has become synonymous with London.
There seems to be no better place to showcase the artistic capabilities of the nation than its well-worn walls.
TUBE-ART PLACE
London tube- one giant art gallery. More
than 90 stations of 270 show

TUBE-NATIONAL SYMBOL

Underground («Tube map») and
its logo are immediately
recognizable by any Londoner,
almost all British and many people from around the
world.
TUBE-SOURSE OF

the metro can lead to serious
mental disorders. Noise,
comparable to the roar chainsaws,
hustle and atouch of strangersprovoke anxiety

UNDERGROUND CINEMA
Underground Cinema is a secret live immersive film screening event held in undisclosed locations throughout
London. It could happen anywhere; a warehouse, a forgotten ballroom, a carpark, the tube. Organizations believe that predictable is boring - so they made their
locations secret and they're keeping the films' identity a mystery too - just to keep you guessing! The team here
believe that sometimes you have to shake things up a bit and have a little fun doing it. Who we are isn't all that
important. What we are doing is taking cinema out of the cinema and inviting you along for the ride. You in?
UNDERGROUND CINEMA
Music: from reggae to rap
Mainstream music is good, but so is the underground scene, especially in London. Whether you are new to London and want to know more about its hidden jewels. Whether you don’t live in London but want to know what’s going on beneath the realm of mainstream music. Whether you’re a good old Londoner who is
passionate about music but hasn’t made it yet to the city’s multifaceted underground scene. Its history underground music in London starts with such well-known genre as reggae. I think
you will not be surprised, since those times it was a huge number of immigrants from Africa in London. Folk African motifs
was so pleased Londoners that they started slowly remodel improve sound. African motifs are even heard in rock n 'roll
music,that was so popular
Music: from reggae to rap
Gradually fashion on rock’n’roll has passed and the good old reggae turned into a modern rap. That's the long story of the
London underground music.
DON’T CALL ME UNDERGROUND
Many people mistakenly believe that the informal London music is punk rock, but it is not…
Of course Britain is a real motherland of something wild … But it’s football fans and hooligans
And please do not forget that the
London underground art, it is the same high
art, only underground So London beggars
aren’t performers and graffiti aren’t
paintings .
POSTERS:150 YEARS!
Last year the London Underground - the oldest in the world – was celebrating the 150th anniversary .The story began Jan.
10, 1863, when from Paddington Station along the only branch of Metropolitan Line set off the first steam train, covered the
distance of 5.5 kilometers, and arrived at the station Farringdon - only some two and a half hours! Half a century later, even in the wildest fantasies can not imagine London without a “tube" – so named because of the shape of underground tunnels . In
an extensive program prepared for the anniversary of the London Underground , especially popular exposition «Poster Art
150 - London Underground's Greatest Designs», open the London Transport Museum
