Summary of audience research

Things what I found out in my focus group

·         Use dark colours instead of bright

·         What sort of images should appear and whether or not my target audience would prefer to see a male or female on the front cover.

·         Why they take an interest into this genre and what is good about it

·         What type of features stand out most to them on the front cover and what I should include on mine

·         I found out what I shouldn’t include which is,

·         They prefer an organised layout as it catches their eye more

·         They would like an informal format as it fits in more with the magazine genre

·         I found out if they could listen to rap all the time or not

·         They would rather stick to one image of one celebrity rather than lots of different little images.

·         I found of that they would want an even text to image ratio rather than too much of one of them. And they both said they would want more images to text as they don’t like too much writing as they don’t want to read it all.
