The results show that the favourite place to eat is McDonald's. This suggests that the audience have a low budget which is why wagamamas, the most expensive restaurant is last. A lot of people eat out at coffee shops which suggests the audience is mature. The range of choices suggest that the range of indie and alternative music can vary which

suggests I should include new never before heard of bands to fit every interest.

The results show that the favorite clothing shop was H&M. This is mainly because H&M has the most individual indie style therefore will allow the audience to have an alternative rock look. I will take this into consideration when choosing what my model will wear by looking on the H&M website. Primark and Topshop were also popular which are common high street stores suggesting the audience likes

accessibility that is easy and relaxed. More expensive shops such as Zara and urban outfitters had little responses suggesting they are too high budget.

The favorite kind of movie chosen in the survey was comedy. This means that in my linguistic features I will include comical

devices such as puns to entice the audience and entertain them more. The second highest preference was drama which I will incorporate within the article stories to exaggerate the

drama within the artists lives. The responses showing the interest in thriller and horror are useful as they emphasise

the rebellious attitude of rock.

The highest response for this question was YouTube. This suggests that the audience likes

visuals therefore I will make sure I have enough sub-images to appeal to the reader. Spotify and the

radio also had a lot of responses so I could make links to these in my magazine. For instance I can have reviews from popular radio stations such as capital in my contents page. Less people use CDs which suggests that the younger generation have

became more technical with apps therefore need to make my magazine up to date and modern.

The most popular social media platforms according to my survey are Instagram and

snapchat. Both of these apps involve image sources and less text suggesting sub-images and effective dominant images will be essential in order to appeal

to my audience.

This also gives me an idea of what platforms will be most popular to advertise in my

magazine. For instance instead of having a website address link I could have an

Instagram link so readers can see sneak peaks of next

months issue cover.

A large percent of 85.7 people responded that they enjoy going to

festivals and gigs. This is useful information as gigs are a very vital part of rock music and help build a

connection between artists and fans. Knowing that my potential

audience enjoy gigs and festivals, helps me with article ideas. For instance I can include a festival

guide, reviews of previous gigs and exclusive opportunities to win gig tickets. These features will appeal to the audience who find listening

to live music an exciting hobby.

A large majority of the people who completed my survey are students. I assumed this from my first survey in which the average age of my audience

was between 16 – 24 years old. This justifies that I need to appeal my magazine to the younger generation. It also

suggests that it needs to include intellectual vocabulary to a certain extent as these are

mostly educated individuals.

The majority of people in my audience do not have a job or are only

working part time. Only a tiny percentage of 4.8 people have a full time job. This suggests that they have low budgets

therefore I need to make sure that my

magazine is within an affordable price range

so that it isn’t restricted to those who have a

lower income.

The final question in my survey was an open comment question which allowed the participant to

leave an individual response. From that I have gathered that 5 of the people I surveyed play the guitar, 2 sing and 2 play the piano. These can be

examples of hobbies that this audience does in its free time.
