We Are Learning To (WALT):• Create an advertising banner

– Static: This will be created in Macromedia Fireworks 8 and should contain an external hyperlink

– Animated: This will be created in Macromedia Flash 8 and will use basic animation techniques.

What I am Looking For (WILF):• Print screen evidence showing your completed advertising

banner– Static: this should show the finished banner in Fireworks 8 and

demonstrate the working hyperlink– Animated: this should show each second of the banner in Flash

8 and document the actions that are taking place.

Assessment CriteriaPass Merit Distinction

Candidates will produce a static advertising banner, combining text and graphics.

Candidates will produce an advertising banner that has some form of user interaction, combining text and graphics.  This should be fit for purpose.

Candidates will produce an animated/moving advertising banner, combining text and graphics.  This should be fit for purpose and audience.

Static Advertising Banner Evidence

• If you have chosen to create a static advertising banner then you need to complete the static_advertising_banner document.

• You evidence should show 3 print screens:1. The 1st print screen should show the completed

advertising banner in Macromedia Fireworks 82. The 2nd print screen should show the completed

advertising banner in Internet Explorer3. The 3rd print screen should show the completed

advertising banner in Internet Explorer with the alt text for the hyperlink.

Animated Advertising Banner Evidence

• If you have chosen to create a animated advertising banner then you need to complete the animated_advertising_banner document.

• Your evidence should show each second of the animation (print screen).

• You need to complete the description box explaining the actions and techniques that are taking place.– E.g – In the 1st second of my animated advertising banner the image of a t-

shirt is situated off the screen at its starting position, it is slowly moving towards the centre of the stage using a motion tween. etc
