DECCAN CHRONICLE A t a recent concert held at the Madras Terrace House, Sudeep Swaroop, a talented musi- cian, who along with his gui- tar and his ability to draw people into the fold of music, made all those who were pre- sent sing their hearts out. Whether loud or inaudible, it was obvious. he was doing something so right. Sudeep is as accomplished in the Indian styles of music, just as he is with the western -he renders the Gayathri mantra in a jazzy manner and the Kausalya Subraja Rama in the rock format. His voice is gentle and insidious. hut his strurnrnin!! is sure: and steady. He start- ed out, formally sitting on a chair for a fairly small audi- ence (a pity more were not there), soon as the evening progressed he came down to the floor and made friends and family get into the swing of things. Which is how Vedanth,another very talented gui- tarist and vocal- ist, came into the picture and played some old film numbers (Abhimaan for instance) and had everyonesinging along. And Sudeep (with the fervent requests being put to him) nlaved the eternal favourites
