Audience Research – Results and Conclusions

Question 2: Age? I have the covered the range of ages within my target audience, this will give me a varied amount of answers which is good. However, no one with the age of 18 filled out my questionnaire, which makes the results biased as not all ages in my target range completed the questionnaire.

Question 3: Which magazines do you read?Before I asked this question I asked if the person who completed questionnaire actually reads magazine and then if they do read magazines for them to state which ones. 8/20 said that they read music magazines and the other 12 people said they did not read music magazines. Two of the people who completed my questionnaire gave three music magazines that they read and the other six people gave one name of a music magazine which they read.

Question 4: Who is your favourite Indie Band/Singer?I asked this question to see which band/singer was most popular from my target audience. I could use the band/singer who has the most people who liked them in a feature story in my music magazine. Four people wrote that their favourite indie band is The Wombats which was the most popular answer.

Question 5: What is your favourite colour/s that you would like to see on a music magazine?I gave the person who was completing my questionnaire a chance to select any colour they wanted by not giving them any choices and they can write what they think. The most popular colour is black and the second is red. Some people gave more than one answer so I have a wider range of colours to pick from and match together when making my music magazine.

Question 7. How often do you buy music magazines?Most people who completed my questionnaire said that they never buy music magazines. No one that completed my questionnaire said that they buy music magazines monthly.
