How did you attract/address your audience?

I used a bright colour scheme to attract the audience of my magazine.

I used a pale colour along with the two bold colours to make the colours stand out, as many magazines use a bold colour along with black and white, I changed this so that it suites my magazine genre and attracts the audience.

On the cover of my magazine I used a photo of an artist that is new onto the music scene so that the audience will want to read about her, as they may not recognise her very much, so this will attract the audience.

I used a bold font and colour for the masthead of my magazine so that it will stand out on the magazine and will make the reader want to read my magazine

To attract a mainly female audience I used a pale pink as one of the main colours because this is said to be a more girly colour and because my audience is female based I thought this colour was both fitting to that and also the genre of my magazine.

To address the reader on my contents page, I used columns to display the information so that it is clear and easy for the reader to read.

I also used the house colour scheme on the page so that the audience would recognise that it links with the front cover.

On my contents page I wrote in second person when addressing the reader because then the reader know that this is a magazine that is based on the publics likes and dislikes and that the information is used so that the reader will enjoy reading the magazine.

I also used another image of the artist that features on the cover of my magazine so that the reader will recognise that the artist will be featured in the magazine.

For my double page spread I did an album reviews page which is not as popular as an artist interview, but I thought that this would attract the audience because not many magazines use it so they would be interested in reading these reviews on their favourite albums.

The content on this double page spread includes some idols that readers may look up to including Rihanna and Jessie J, I also included Coldplay because they are a very famous band and also Olly Murs because he has a large female fan base which may attract more of a female readership.

Again I used the same colours aswell as font for the title to show a link between all the pages. I used a bold font so that it stood out.
